  1. I purchased Fly High aftermarket ballast bags to go into the V-Drive lockers for my '09 Elite V C4. They were plumbed in and integrated into the controls of the boat's helm. The port side ballast bag will fill properly when the switch is flipped. When going to empty the bag, the 5 amp fuse blows immediately before the pump motor even begins running. My initial thought is to replace the Johnson pump that is currently attached. That brings up two questions: is it the ballast pump motor that is causing the fuse to blow? Why only when emptying, not filling the bag? It appears as though the style of integrated pumps that Johnson and Jabsco put out have changed from what I have and I am not entirely sure how it is supposed to plumb in. Any thoughts on the setup are appreciated. The pictures are of my existing pump (Johnson 750 GPH). The ballast bag has two tubes coming out of the top. One is the vent that allows run off to come out of the side of the boat. I am not entire sure what the other tube leads to. The pump is on the back bottom of the bag. It is pulling water in the bottom I imagine but am not entirely sure.
  2. 08' SV240 6.2 Black scorpion (old school gen 2 SBC) rear engine / V-drive Winterized the motor as I always have, drained the manifolds and lower water pump, reinstalled the plugs, and filled with antifreeze from the T-stat housing.... This year, on it's first run of the year, noticed it was leaking a LOT of water out of the bellhousing. I must have had a frost plug come out behind the flywheel. Right now, it's Schrodinger's cat... it could be dead or it could be alive, but either way, I need to pull the engine to find out. (makes good power, no water in oil, fingers crossed it's just the frost plug) I've pulled motors in mercruiser alpha / bravo setups before, but never with a V-drive. I'm *hoping* I could unbolt the engine from the V-drive, slide it forward (towards the back of the boat) and lift it up and out. Is that possible? The main engine mounts look like big single studs, not sure how it would be able to slide away from the V-drive. Is there a how to somewhere? A video? a post with pictures? I have a forklift, and man power.... but I really don't want to have to mess around with the V-drive if I can avoid it...
  3. 2014 233 Enzo worked great before winter. Winterized and left in a garage. First trip today--no CATs fin movement, no wake plate movement, no valve movement. Valves show they are working on the screen but the CATs and the wake plate don't show any response on the screen. Radio intermittently working. Front ballast pump not working. The screen looks fine and responds to touch otherwise. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Also makes the boat a bit quieter.-Brand new tires, less than 1k, and a spare.-Samson speakers and sub/amp, extra battery with shutoff switch.-Cover still works well, but it has one 2” tear in the center that I’ve patched with gorilla tape, it’s been holding for 4 years now.-Bimini top is in excellent condition.-Lots of extras included with a full price offer: life vests, wetsuits, ropes, fenders, surfboards, 4 person towable tube, quick-release anchor with sand spike. 5. Hi guys. My boat is an 06 avalanche with walk through . I believe it’s storm series 1 package. Has 1 center rank with fill. I fill fat sack bags in rear locker, under walk through and on top to surf. I currently use a tsunami pump to fill them by hand. I see in the fuse box it is wired up for starboard and port side and where the switches are the are wired just need the toggle switch. Is there a way I can plumb in the pumps to fill my sacks and have it like my center tank where it fills and when it gets full it spits the water out the side of the boat. Thanks I have pictures but can’t figure out how to load them. It says I can’t load more then 204.8kb
  6. I boat this boat used and hoping I didn't get taken to the cleaners. After I ran the boat for about 1 hour the engine just stopped and wouldn't start. We got towed back and played with it the next day. It seemed like an adjustment knob on the perfect pass was lose so we moved it some and engine started and ran great. Then a week later it all happened again while on the lake. This time we couldn't get it going. We tried to disconnect the Perfect Pass electrical connections and that didn't help. The servo motor was very hot. I cannot even tell which Perfect Pass model I have. Any troubleshooting ideas?
  7. Hey everyone, have not had my boat out yet, but got a question on props. It has an acme 1235 on it, as well as an extra 1235. Is this a good prop for my boat? I have seen others suggest a 1579 for 2007 Centurion AV C4. For what it's worth we will mostly surf with it. Thanks!!

  9. I bought a 2000 centurion ecplise last year and used to boat pretty often for a few weeks with no issues. I then had the boat in the water and had the belt lock up on me. After starting and shutting the boat off a few times, the belt was moving freely. I thought the alternator was starting to go so I replaced it with a new one. Boat ran fine for a few more months then it happened again! Haven’t done anything with it since. I did the same thing to free the belt up again but does this lead me to think it was possibly the water pump starting to go? Or am I missing something. Any help is appreciated as the boating season is coming in a few months!
  10. Hi guys I’m sorry since I’m sure this has been brought up before but I can’t find it. I have an 06 centurion avalanche with the walk thru. I love the surfing so far on it. I have it pretty much listed to the rub rail on port side. Port rear locker full to where I can barely close latch and port seats have long bag full underneath and center tank full plus I’ll throw some in a bag up front with some lead weight moved around depending on crew. I was wanting to try and even the boat out on weight and put like a NautiCurl on starboard side to make it a little safer and easier to drive but still want a great surf wave. Do you guys just fill a bag under the walk thru and another on top of that and keep the same set up as I have??? Thanks a bunch in advance
  11. Hello everyone. We are looking at upgrading from our 2005 Moomba Outback to something a bit newer and better set up for surfing. There is a 2009 Enzo SV230 near us, that looks interesting. It seems like this would be a great next boat for us. Question on the ballasts, the add says it has 3,500 lbs plumbed in. Is that the factory system, or does that sound like more ballast than stock? Anything i should be looking at specifically when going to see the boat? Thanks!
  12. I just bought a 2014 Fx44 with 110 hours. I started shopping for value boats but couldn’t make myself settle. After talking with Monty, a dealer buddy in Canyon Lake, and seeing the waves Centurions put out, not to mention they are amazing eye candy, I couldn’t be swayed from the Centurion. I heard some cool stories about how they really support their product which was a huge plus! I found an FX44 and traveled up to it and bought it. Most everything about the boat checked out and was very nice. We hooked up and began to tow the boat home keeping an eye on everything. My dad was with me and he is super meticulous and cautious, the kind of guy anyone wants when making a big purchase and handling something sensitive. It was going great and all of a sudden one of the carbon fiber air scoops began to blow around like it was coming lose, but before we could pull off the road to fix it it blew off taking the lights with it in heavy traffic. We stopped to check it out. Looks like it had been replaced before because there are two screws in one hole and signs of a repair. We checked the other carbon fiber nose piece and it looked fine. We got back on the road and then had to stop for gas. I was pretty upset that this happened so naturally I go and inspect it all over again and now the other carbon fiber piece has a crack in it. The dealer I bought it from had given me a roll of white shrink wrap tape “just in case” which I thought was odd but also didn’t turn down because who knows... thankful to have the tape now so I put it over the remaining cracked carbon fiber nose piece to keep air from entering the scoop which got me home. When I called Centurion yesterday the guy in the warranty department said he never heard of this issue. I find that hard to believe since there were two screws in one hole plus other signs of repair AND seeing my second scoop crack a few minutes later. Granted it was very windy while towing but a person still should be able to town their boat down the highway. The guy at centurion isn’t offering to send me anything or discuss the matter until I get the warranty transferred which sounds like a little hassle and I’m willing to do, but I wish they would just make this easy... I also want to use my boat during my kids’ spring break without it looking all damaged. Has anyone else had problems with this while towing their FX44s? The added some “louvered ridges” on the FS44 scoops for a reason and I’m thinking this is why... no matter what the guy at centurion said. A company doesn’t make that kind of change on a part for no reason. I would love to hear from y’all. I think this should be a warranty or recall issue if it’s common enough.
  13. Just want to say hello and ask what I'm sure will end up being, a TON of questions. I just bought a 2011 Avalanche C4! (taking delivery in a week or 2). I'm excited to say the least. This is my family's first boat and we can't wait to get on the water. Thanks in advance for any and all help. 2 questions to start... 1. The edges of the swim platform cover are peeling up. Do you guys recommend a factory style pad or sea dek/ gator step style? I'm a handy guy, so making one from scratch to save $$ is a plus. 2. The boat does not have the bow filler cushion. It's not a major priority, but I thought I would start early in my search. The interior is Light Grey/Too Blue Thanks again for the add and I look forward to getting to know you all, Richie
  14. Hey guys I upgraded end of last season from 05 supreme to 17 S226. Only was able to take it out 3 times before it was done for seson. Last season was able to get a good size wave to surf and all was good but my main concern is when the surfer falls, the wave is so massive it nearly swamps the rear of the boat. This year of course I want to use more than just 2 ballest. How do you guys get out of cruise and be clear of the wave. May be crazy and that boat my be able to take on quite a bit but I'm not rich by no means and want to protect my investment. Keep in mind 3 trips out. New to surf boats.
  15. Any recommendations on installing perfect pass to my 2004 elite? how hard is it? does it work well? Mainly wakeboard, boat doesn't surf great. Also, my Speedometer isn't working any more, will that effect it? it has a Faria gauge that is digital and works for MPH so I'm really not to worried about it. I'm thinking it has to be a wired connection issue with the speedo considering my paddle wheel seems to be perfectly fine. Thanks
  16. Guys, I am in sort of a complicated situation looking for help. I recently hit something in the water that damaged my prop. I was pretty pissed off about the situation and I am very picky so I just bought a new prop and tossed the damaged. Well, it happens that now that the season ended I was polishing the boat underneath and saw that cracks formed on the strut from the impact. Well I guess I missed them and they are VERY EXPENSIVE to fix. Need to go through insurance. Well I told them that I may have tossed the prop and that I will need to check and they said that they NEED to see a damaged prop or a repaired prop to cover anything. They don't care but they need to see something. I've been asking around and it seems that without the damaged prop they may just call it wear and tear and won't cover the fiberglass repair. This is stupid because looking through forums I have seen people with similar damage and the prop remaining intact somehow. So it is possible. On mine, the shaft is perfectly straight. Actually the prop wasn't bad. I should have kept it and repaired it... But i didn't want to see it. I have told the insurance that I do not want money for the prop. I just want them to pay for the rest of the damage, the fiberglass stuff. LONG STORY SHORT, DOES ANYONE HAVE AN ACME 537 (13.5X16) OR ACME 1235 (14.5X14.25) DAMAGED PROP SITTING AROUND LOOKING TO SOMEONE TO TAKE OUT OF YOUR HOUSE SINCE YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE IT EITHER????

  18. Hello. We re working with a client who recommended this sign to us. We're wondering if you would have any good recommendations as where we can find graphics for the boat design including a good resolution image of the centurion logo or perhaps a vector. He's wanting a sort of dark and stormy aesthetic with a centurion man casting a lightning bolt (since he has a Lightning C4). We're looking for assets on our end, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  19. Hey question. I have a 2011 Enzo 240 plus and when I press fill on switch Star board mid ballast bag it now fills the port bag ? Same if I fill port bag switch it will fill the star board bag. Super confused it was working perfectly the day before. Any ideas ?????
  20. I Just picked up a 1991 Centurion Falcon open bow I bent the prop shaft and can't find any information on the correct size shaft I need there are a ton of falcon shafts out there but none of them match what I measured which is 51"L X 1" o.d I have never heard of a 1" o.d shaft every falcon shaft online ebay etc. are all 1" 1/8 so any help out there as to the size I need or locating a new or used shaft would greatly be appreciated!
  21. The speedometer on my 2009 Enzo sv240 won’t register. It’s a gps based speedometer and it doesn’t have a paddle wheel. The gps screen shows my current location but won’t show speed. Any ideas what could be wrong? Is there a specific fuse for the speedometer? It worked fine 2 days ago then all of a sudden it stopped working.

  23. I've been trying to get my local dealer to look into this for me. They emailed Fineline and got an email back with an image of a 3/4" copper valve. They have no idea, I'll take the high road and leave it at that. Does anyone have a dealer or manufacturer contact that they'd recommend and be willing to share? I'm hoping I can order, pay, and have em' shipped to me. Does anyone know the Valtera part #. We have an 2011 Enzo 240+. After all the reading and mixed reviews I'm ready to try the Valtera's and see how it goes. The Drainmasters have not worked well for us. Thanks for your help. We're in Colorado, boat's winterized, almost no snow (snowboarding), moderate drought, dark times.
  24. Hey guys, we just got a new to us boat, and i'm having trouble finding info on this forum about Ballast capabilities for an 05 avalanche with the walk through transom. Any idea what the biggest bag I could stick in the starboard locker is? The boat only has the sock center tank on it. I don't mind filling with an external pump, just don't want the bags sitting around talking up usable space in the boat. I plan on using a mission Delta on either side, so I'd like to keep it evenly weighted, plus that way I can run the bags for both boarding and surfing. Also, wakemakers says they sell a dual 720lb system for the avalanche but that seems like its way too big to fit in that small locker... Is that really the right one? Any help is appreciated!
  25. I live on American Lake- WA, I've promised my wife and kids a boat for the last 3 years. I grew up wake boarding. I'd love to get them into wake boarding and wake surfing. I've quickly realized that times have changed and boat prices are crazy high for something w/ great technology and its a zoo out there w/ too many options. I'm looking to get used- rather let someone else take the initial hit. Considering that I'm having to spend around $60-$70k for a boat that is not super old and has great wake technology, I'd love to at least snag a great deal (not just an ok deal). I'm to new at this to know whether an Axis w/ a surf gate is the way to go, or a Centurion w/ the Ram fill. I've found this boat in OR, I could go drive down tomorrow and pick it up. Centurion ENZO SV233- the dealer makes it sound like he's selling it at a smoking deal- but I don't know enough about boats to know whether this is a GREAT deal, or just an ok deal! Any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated! https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/bod/d/2016-centurion-enzo-sv-233/6512393827.html
