Trim/Surf tabs not working. Can't find a fuse/breaker.
Mikey Wetzel posted a topic in Supreme Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I have a 2017 Supreme Surf S211. Center Trim Tab and Quick Surf stopped working. I suspect it's just a tripped breaker. I see a panel under the dash, to the port side. I pushed in everything but still no tabs. Is there something I'm missing? In the engine compartment, I disconnected the electrical connector (that looks like this: https://www.amazon.com/Bennett-Marine-BAW2020-Actuator-Extension/dp/B00ODQYDB4_ to the center trim tab and put 12V to it. That works. I'm pretty sure, therefore, that the problem is that 12V is not being sent from the dash area. Anyone else have this problem? Know a solution? Boat is under warranty, but the dealer is a 6 hour round trip away! -

Old ballast pump replacement
1jeffgignac posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I purchased Fly High aftermarket ballast bags to go into the V-Drive lockers for my '09 Elite V C4. They were plumbed in and integrated into the controls of the boat's helm. The port side ballast bag will fill properly when the switch is flipped. When going to empty the bag, the 5 amp fuse blows immediately before the pump motor even begins running. My initial thought is to replace the Johnson pump that is currently attached. That brings up two questions: is it the ballast pump motor that is causing the fuse to blow? Why only when emptying, not filling the bag? It appears as though the style of integrated pumps that Johnson and Jabsco put out have changed from what I have and I am not entirely sure how it is supposed to plumb in. Any thoughts on the setup are appreciated. The pictures are of my existing pump (Johnson 750 GPH). The ballast bag has two tubes coming out of the top. One is the vent that allows run off to come out of the side of the boat. I am not entire sure what the other tube leads to. The pump is on the back bottom of the bag. It is pulling water in the bottom I imagine but am not entirely sure. -
Elite V-drive Fuse Box
NIFTSIX posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I'm a new owner of a 1999 Elite V-drive and in the process of installing a new battery we got the polarity crossed up for a millisecond and had a quick spark. No big, but now with the battery hooked up properly I have 0, nothing, nada, juice. Has to be a fuse, right? Breaker switches on the dash are good but I can not find a fuse panel! I have looked under the dash, under the seats, behind bulkheads and can't find it! Does anybody have any ideas? Is there even a fuse panel? Maybe a fusible link somewhere? The only place I haven't looked is in the motor compartment, which is, of course, under an electrically operated cover! Any help would be much-much appreciated. Was hoping to hit the lake this weekend and the customer service dept at Centurion is closed til Monday. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
