  1. So I am looking at purchasing my first boat to wakesurf on. Used to wake board off the back of an older Mariah Shabbah 212. I found a 2005 centurion lightning, looks like it’s a c4 from the seating I believe ? From what I read. Anyone familiar with this boat ? Pros and cons ? Any one had any luck wake surfing off the back? https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2005-ski-centurion-lightning-8864323/ look forward to hearing some feed back!
  2. I boat this boat used and hoping I didn't get taken to the cleaners. After I ran the boat for about 1 hour the engine just stopped and wouldn't start. We got towed back and played with it the next day. It seemed like an adjustment knob on the perfect pass was lose so we moved it some and engine started and ran great. Then a week later it all happened again while on the lake. This time we couldn't get it going. We tried to disconnect the Perfect Pass electrical connections and that didn't help. The servo motor was very hot. I cannot even tell which Perfect Pass model I have. Any troubleshooting ideas?
  3. Got a 2005 Centurion avalanche with the walk through transom... it looks like there is a way to install a large cushion like the other sides storage hatch lid.. anyone know if centurion made an option you can buy or is there any aftermaket available? Also any one know where i could buy a new fiberglass swim step so i can replace my teak one? Its in great shape just too small... Thanks
  4. Hi Guys Just have to say that this site becase my bible after pruchasing my Green Machine 12 months ago so thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge. Thought I would post some pics of the custom cup holder inserts I fabricated for my rig to replicate the newer models. Let me know your thoughts. I have also had the biminy recovered, re powder coated the tower, inserted new carpet in and added a stereo and replaced the centurion letterin on the back. Love tweaking my ride. Now all I want to do is re powdercoat the trailer.
  5. So.... The guy that I bought my boat from doesn't appear to be the brightest crayon in the box. He installed (or had installed) an OJ 14.25 x 14 prop onto a boat that can handle up to a 13.5 diameter prop. Needless to say, I have a nasty little gouge in the hull where the prop had it's way with the gel coat and fiberglass. Luckily! I have a contact who sells boats for a local dealership and he is setting me up with the guy that does all of his repairs. I am going to have him leave a small depression, where the damage currently is, so that I will not run into any "burning" of the gel coat when I put on a 13.5 prop. I have contacted ACME and narrowed it down to either the 1619 or the 1579, since I am going to do a complete ballast overhaul this winter and add 2850 lbs. of weight. I am not sure which prop I am going to get yet, because I will not know for another couple of weeks if I am staying here in Reno or moving to Portland. (4000ft elevation change) But I do know that I am going to sell the OJ, but unclear as to which boats it will fit on. If anyone can point me in the right direction of where to market it, or wants a prop to modify, I am willing to let it go for a good price.
