  1. From what I've read online it seems that my 2005 Enzo SV230 has all the symptoms of a failed Idle Air Valve (IAV). It stumbles around idle coming out of gear quite often and sometimes even dies, and the only way to get the engine to start when its hot is to give it neutral throttle. After some reading online I ordered the Standard Motor Products AC423 Idle Air Control Valve of Amazon for $40 (In comparison to the $178 for the OEM Mercruiser 866326) which is supposed to be a direct replacement. Multiple people on Amazon said it worked perfect on their Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI so I figured it should work on mine! Of course when I received the part and went to install it I found a couple things that I'm not so sure about: The original part I removed (assuming it is OEM) does not appear to have a pin and spring in it that the new replacement part has. Anyone know the function of this, or if it is of any concern? The replacement part came with a small rubber gasket that is definitely not correct for this application; it appears as though it should be used in an application that has a machined groove more like an o-ring would have. After searching for the correct gasket online, all I seem to find pictures of is a simple thin sheet style gasket that is cut to the profile of the valve. The gasket I removed from the boat was pretty thick and is overmolded on a mesh screen material. I'm wondering why this screen would be necessary? Does it keep the foam filter (see question #3) from entering the valve? When I searched for the OEM replacement gasket I found that the original P/N 865168 was superseded by 866326... The notable thing here is that the part description of the gasket also changed from "Gasket, Flame Arrestor" to just plain "Gasket". Did they remove the screen from it for the new part? Once I removed the gasket I found a small foam filter (Mercruiser P/N 865266) in the bottom port of the intake air valve adapter body. Anyone know the function of this filter? Any air that is in the intake manifold has already passed through a much finer air filter so I don't understand it's purpose. I ask all these questions because I'm trying to get the boat water ready in time for the 4th, and I'm struggling to find the OEM gasket readily available.
  2. Hi all, I have a 2007 centurion Enzo 240sv. I recently purchased this boat. I’m looking for some advice for a good surf prop, I’m new to boating so anything helps. I have fat sacs in the rear and a few that go throughout the boat, although I haven’t used any besides the 2 in the rear lockers. My wave is decent but I’m hoping to make it bigger so any suggestions would be very helpful thank you! Im also interested in buying surf tabs if anyone has advice on that as well.
  3. Can anyone advise on current model replacement plugs for my 2015 Enzo, FS 33 with ZR 409 engine? The manual calls for plug part # R030011. I want to stick with an AC Delco since it’s a GM 6.0 block.
  4. I have a 2017 Supreme Surf S211. Center Trim Tab and Quick Surf stopped working. I suspect it's just a tripped breaker. I see a panel under the dash, to the port side. I pushed in everything but still no tabs. Is there something I'm missing? In the engine compartment, I disconnected the electrical connector (that looks like this: https://www.amazon.com/Bennett-Marine-BAW2020-Actuator-Extension/dp/B00ODQYDB4_ to the center trim tab and put 12V to it. That works. I'm pretty sure, therefore, that the problem is that 12V is not being sent from the dash area. Anyone else have this problem? Know a solution? Boat is under warranty, but the dealer is a 6 hour round trip away!
  5. We saw an error on our boat today when out in the water. Red engine light. Anyone encounter this error before?
  6. Hi there, thanks in advance for reading and help! My 05 Avalanche has now been in the shop for 3+ weeks that the mechanic cannot figure out the root issue so I'm looking to hive mind some ideas/support on a diagnosis. The boat - 05 Avalanche C4 - Black Scorpion - about 400 ish hours What happened - a few hours into our 3rd day of surfing the boat all of the sudden started vibrating. It's mellow at low speeds and gets progressively worse at high speeds. We immediately got it off of the water and into our local shop. The shop replicated the vibrations. They started by checking the engine mounts and alignment and everything looks fine. They took the prop and prop shaft off to make sure they are straight and undamaged and say those are great. They found a bolt had backed out of the coupler so they replaced that bolt. Still vibrating. Next step was to remove the coupler. Turns out the coupler was cracked and has significant wear on one of the inside edges (I will try and get a picture for you). At this time, they ran the engine, tranny and v drive without the coupler and it didn't vibrate. Because of this, we all felt confident that the vibration was coming from the coupler. However, when a new coupler was put on and the prop shaft was connected again, it was still vibrating. The shop says the next step is to remove the v-drive but this may take a long time because they have to lift the engine and they are busy this time of year. They've also never seen an issue like this where the vibes came on all of the sudden and the coupler was cracked but not causing the vibrations. Confidence level is low at this point. I'm writing here wondering if anyone has seen this issue and if you have any idea of what we should be looking at/for. Appreciate any help I can get!
  7. Howz-it. New to the forum. Just wanted to throw out some knowledge based on experience. After going through 3 wake shaper solutions, I found the surf mode maverick dual shaper system gets the job done 100%, while using less ballast. If anyone would like a more detailed explanation I am more than happy to elaborate. Surfmodemaverick.com

  9. So I am looking at purchasing my first boat to wakesurf on. Used to wake board off the back of an older Mariah Shabbah 212. I found a 2005 centurion lightning, looks like it’s a c4 from the seating I believe ? From what I read. Anyone familiar with this boat ? Pros and cons ? Any one had any luck wake surfing off the back? https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2005-ski-centurion-lightning-8864323/ look forward to hearing some feed back!
  10. 2017 RI236

Has anyone put a 3337 prop on the 1-1/8 shaft?? Prop specs are 3337= 16x15 If so how did it go and how was surfing?
  11. So I recently got a 2012 avalanche. I’m trying to use the engine flush fake-a-lake on it, but it doesn’t seem to be working. The water is not coming out of the exhaust. So I shut it off immediately. I got the plunger from West Marine, and it seems like it was a little small, it doesn’t cover the opening all the way. I positioned the hose to be spraying directly into the intake, but still nothing. The boat was inspected and tested by a professional prior to purchase. So, I don’t think there’a something mechanically wrong. Unless it broke in the last month or so while standing at my house. Is the problem due to the plunger being too small? I’ve also seen some people attach a T to the intake line, but I’m a little confused where it should be attached. Should I attach it right at the point where the water comes into the hull? That line looks like it goes directly into the V drive, then from there to the engine. I’ve read some people attach it before the pump. But I don’t seem to be able to find the pump. Anyways any help would be appreciated. On a separate note, for the 2012 year, is there a standard avalanche model and a C4, and if so, how can you tell which one you have?
  12. Purchased a 2015 Enzo with the Surf Pro system over Labor day and just got everything back from the dealer after winterization and a few projects. Barely got it into the garage last night and I'm looking for a few more inches of space here and there. Does anyone know if you can deploy the Surf Pro tabs as well as the center tab while it's trailered? Deploying these all down will create another 6-8 inches and allow me to squeeze between the truck and boat a little easier! I've already pulled the swim platform for the winter, but I'm looking for a little more space. Any tips? Thanks!
  13. Love our S240 .... struggling with getting the wave to push... is this boat so large that the displacement is a factor or am I doing it wrong with the surf system? I guess speed and tab settings wold be the question.. Thanks in advance

  15. Just picked up my 2007 c4 typhoon after coming off a natique SuperSport because it’s 2’ longer, and a 1’ wider w/ built in ballast. we are very excited but noticed a couple of things and wanted to see if others made modifications, or if it has been an issue at all for the crew: 1) it only has a single battery: which so does my truck so big deal right? But all other boats I’ve been on have had a starting battery and an accessory battery. This way you could switch the battery to just acc and Moore your boat listing to music w/o worrying about a dead battery - is this something I should have wired in? also 2) it doesn’t seem to have a float bilge just a standard bilge. My old boat had 2 bilge a manual bilge and a float bilge that would kick on if water reached a certain level in the compartment that I could always leave on so that when I left the boat moored at the slip I wouldn’t have to worry about a storm if the cover blew off etc am I over thinking this? - thanks!!!
  16. Just had my boat out last weekend and was in idle and proceeding to push on more power when the boat died and wouldn't start back up. Took it to my mechanic and figured out that the fuel pump wasn't getting power. Replaced the relay to the fuel pump and it fired right up. However after running for a few minutes, shutting off and then re-starting an error codes comes up "SPN 3225 FMI 10" & "SPN 3222 FMI4" Is this a residual code that needs to be cleared, or is this something new that needs to be addressed? Can anyone know what the code means and how to fix it?
  17. Im looking to upgrade my ballast. I have read other posts on here about a custom avy sac. I have a 2010 centurion avalanche C4 and wanted to know if anyone had the measurements for this sac or who to contact that might have this info. I couldnt find it on any forum. Was just going to do the port side for now. I called wakemakers and they did not have the measurements. I took my own measurements but I wanted to compare with someone who has this sac before spending the $700. They said the enzo sac would not fit. Thank you
  18. Hello, Recently acquired a 2011 C4 Avalanche and after driving for a few days(about 7 hrs total) a few observations that i hope someone can help clarify: 1. Noticed the boat lists to Starboard when i engage the throttle. Is this from the prop torque? If so how do i compensate? 2. I seem to have all the ballasts (rear port is full hard tank, rear stbd is half hard tank, plus mid of both and single fwd ballast for total of 5). finding wake is quite messy on port(reg) side and much cleaner on the goofy side. Do i just have to play with the weight/ballast and fine tune it to get to the happy place? for this past weekend surfed with all tanks 100% full. New to surfing so hoping to get some people that have a similar boat and can help! 3. What is the minimum safe depth to operate this boat(or lake gets quite shallow at end of summer) Thanks to anyone that can help!
  19. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am looking to pick up a 2003-2008 boat for under 30k. Looking at all the major brands but keep coming back to Centurion. I am finding it extremely difficult to put together all the information for the models and what they are designed for (T5, Hurricane, Avalanche, Enzo, storm package, length, etc). My ideal boat has normal wear and tear, low hours on the engine, and solid reviews from current and past owners. I will be using this for 75% surfing, 15% cruising, and 10% boarding and skating. I was lucky enough to have an '06 Air Nautique new so I am familiar with what a high quality boat should look and sound like. I realize this is a broad topic (1/3 wanted ad, 1/3 history, and 1/3 recommendations) but I don't have any way to test these boats out where I live in northern Indiana. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or information, Paul
  20. I own a 2010 Centurion Enzo Sv240 with upgraded ballast bags in read mid and bow. Also have 500 pounds of lead ballast, I surf port side and have sideswipe with a switchblade. Im getting a splash that hits you right in the face when surfing port side. Anyone had anything like this happen to them? Would love to hear everyone’s setup on the enzo sv 240s because I love surfing and it’s aggravating not getting the wave perfect lol. Any help appreciated thank you!

  24. New member here but longtime lurker. Bought a 2015 Enzo fs33 about 3 years ago it's been a great boat for our family and I love it. A few questions from you experts: 1. Per the image attached I don't have a water exhaust pipe... I've been reading about FAE's etc. Really I think I want to get something here cause it looks cool but more importantly the health of the people on the back of the boat and the rider from emmisions. I don't need the best but I want the "best practice" and best bang for buck to solve the issue. 2. The port side surf has always been far superior to the starboard side... I've tried it all, settings, weight, water etc. The port side can get huge and a beautiful curl the starboard side has less push and height and minimal curl. Could the FAE or exhaust system potentially help this? Any other suggestions to try? 3. A few if my toggle switches have busted in the dash. Any recommendations on where to buy new ones (dealer said they don't carry them for older boats and even if they did they would probably cost a fortune)..? Thanks everybody I'll be attentive to your comments or questions! Jason
