  1. I have a 2005 Avalanche C4 and when looking for accessories, parts, etc. see a lot for 2006 models. Does anyone know if there is or what is the difference between 2005 and 2006? Any info is appreciated.
  2. Hi All - New to the forum. Just took the boat out for the 1st day of the season - testing everything out to make sure the boat was running fine. I wasnt watching to see if the speedometer was working while I was zipping around - engine sounded great - plenty of power - no weird sounds.. I fill up all the ballast to test the wave - turn on the "zero off" cruise control - ease into gear and speed up... I hear a loud screaming beep - look at the screen and see a fault code. Ugh... I cannot find anything that explains what this is or how to fix it. I really could use some guidance - thanks in advance! I really appreciate it. I've owned the boat for a year - has now about 700 hours - well maintained - didnt have a singe issue last year.
  3. Looking for prop recommendations to lower the engine rpm while surfing. Ri217 with 6.0l running 4000 rpm while surfing at 11.2mph.

  5. Alright guys. Finally created an account after 2 years of using your posts to get me through headaches on my boat. With that said, I am looking to see if anyone out there has a fiberglass non teak platform for sale. Enzo is better...but I can prbably frankenstein any one to fit 2004 Typhoon. Thanks...Let the welcome bashing begin.
  6. Hey all, I am new here trying to get back into boating after many years. I have a 2006 Centurion Avalanche I really like. It is mostly in great shape with about 500 hours. Only real down side is 3 cracks on the starboard gunwale and corner of the transom. The sales guy is insists they are cosmetic, but I am not sure how to tell. Anyone have thoughts on this? I only snapped a picture on the starboard cracks. The stern crack goes horizontally around the corner just below the gunwale. I am considering moving forward with this one if they are truly cosmetic. He said it wasn't worth fixing cosmetic issues on a boat of this age... Interested in hearing some feedback.
  7. I’m brand new to the Centurion crew as I’ve never owned a Centurion boat before. I just pulled the trigger on a 2005 Tornado. I really like to ski but also like to surf sometimes too. I realize I’m going back a few model years but wondering if anyone can tell me what the surf wake could be like behind a Tornado. How much extra weight would be required? Is it even feasible? I realize it’s more of a DD ski boat but I’m hoping it can cross over and give a beginner to intermediate surf wake. Thanks!
  8. Hello all - Hope your watersports seasons were good. Upstate Ny here so we typically have a few weeks left, however I blew my transmission last week on my 2010 Centurion Avalanche. Sucks, but good timing as it will spend the winter in the shop now. Question that I have, the boat has the PCM 343 with a PCM transmission Right Hand Rotation Prop. The dealer tells me that I can order the new transmission in left hand, and obviously change the prop. I am running the ACME 1234 which is absolutely great with hole shot, good top speed, and incredible on fuel efficiency, so I would switch to the 1235(LH version). My question is this - We mostly wake surf and are mostly all surfing normal side (not goofy) - would this be a good switch for me and does anyone foresee any issues? From all of my research it appears to me that the LH rotation will perform better and clean up my wake lip. Rest of set up - 780 pound bags in both rear lockers, 250 port and starboard under seats and 250 center under floor. Decent crew typically (4-6 minumum). Also I use mission wakeshaper.

  10. Hi All! i'm buying a 2021 centurion and the boat builder on the website isn't the best for visualizing colors. Would anyone with Canadian Blue MF be willing to share some real life pics? I've attached some of my old FI21...these are Brilliant Sky Blue MF.
  11. I have a new-to-me Avy C4 I got last week and put it in the water for the first time yesterday. I noticed that the bilge bump kept coming on every 20 minutes or so, shooting out the same amount of water each time (20-30 seconds). We parked the boat on the water and sat for about an hour and I turned the pump on again, shot out the same amount of water. Waited about 10 more minutes, then turned it on again and it shot out the same amount yet again. I checked the plug under the back seat every 30 mins or so, and it seemed to have the same amount of water in it constantly and didn't appear to fluctuate. The previous owner said he only had the issue when he had his ballast bags full, something about that type of bag having a coupling leak that needed to be fixed on the bag I believe. I didn't fill the bags up the entire time we were on it though, so I don't think that is the issue. I have seen some post about the shaft packing on other boats possibly being the culprit, but I couldn't find anything on this particular model. Any help or tips you guys could post would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I wanted to start a thread for Fi21 owners who have upgraded their stock prop. I've got a 2018 Fi21 with the PCM L96 (409) engine. My stock prop is the ACME 1235 (14.5x14.25). At sea level, I'm seeing about 4100-4300 RPM surfing w/ full ballast & about 10.5-11mph. Top speed is about 33-34 at 4900 RPM. Also, the holeshot is just fine. Anyone gone with a bigger prop to get the RPMs down? Please share your actual experience.
  13. Hello, Just purchased an 05 Avalanche Storm Series w the walk thru. Anyone else have this boat & make any modifications? Ive got quite a bit to do to update mine. I’d like to do the following: -clean up the stereo wires in the storage -fix the steering, it’s off about 30 degrees and is hard to turn to the left. -take out the old center hard ballast and replace with modern ballast and somehow run pipe to more sacs in the rear. -Fix the speedo & add GPS ... I know that’s a lot but if anyone has any experience or feedback w any of this on this boat or a similar one please let me know! Thanks in advance ??
  14. Hey all, I am unfortunately not with the boat. My parents are having issues starting the boat. It appears completely dead, they installed a new battery today and they still don't get any sign of power. No guages or accessories turn on. The boat was used last summer many times and start ups were fine. Any suggestions? I told them to get a voltage meter and check certain wires Side note not associated: our stereo would suddenly stop playing music while connected to the phone and the phone shows it is still playing music. This happens often, I assume it's the stereo but all other powered systems would work fine.
  15. After 10 years of saying I want a boat and 2 years of saying I am buying a boat I finally pulled the trigger so I'm a newb but a quick learner. There are 3 switches in a line from bow to stern on the boat that say Ballast. I suspect this to be stock ballast because it's all located inside the hull and they all spew out to a stock 3 hole spout on the starboard side of the boat. If it isn't stock then of course I will have to figure it out myself. If it is stock can anyone explain to me how the 3 ballast system works? The first switch (switch closest to the bow) works and fills 1 ballast up but I am unsure of which ballast and where it fills up. The other two switches do not seem to work. I assume that the pumps are broken and will need to fix. If they are stock can someone explain to me where the three ballasts are located and which switch works with which? Any other details would be fantastic if you got it. Also, if anyone knows of any youtube vidoes that would assist that would be fantastic! Thanks!
  16. Hello everyone, I am sure if I searched I would find this answer, but who has that much free time. Bought a 2004 SV230 last October and spent the winter getting it ready for summer here in Idaho. I put an 1150 pound bag in each locker, modified a suck gate from an old wake setter to fit my Enzo hull and fixed the perfect pass. So getting a big wave doesn't seem to be my issue. Last weekend I had both lockers full, perfect pass set at 10.3, rpm's were about 4200, I had additional human weight mid ship of about 600 lbs and 350-400 lbs of human in the bow and I was surfing with no rope without an issue on my Hyper lite Skim 5.3, but I am not a small person 6'2" 260 lbs of line backer. so the question is?? for those who know, how do I make the pocket bigger, longer and more playful? less bow weight, more stern weight Accepting all advice. Thanks...

  23. Hi Guys I have an older v drive, 2004 Cyclone with a 350 MAG MPI to be exact. Super annoying problem recently developed where every couple of minutes when the boat is running I will get 2 loud beeps. Doesn't seem to matter what rpm the boats at just that its running. All pressures and temperatures seem normal and the boat runs fine. The only thing I can currently see that is wrong it the V-drive light isn't coming on at all nut its my understanding that it is a pretty simple circuit that is normally closed to alert of low pressure in the v drive and goes out when there is sufficient pressure so if Ive got a problem there the open circuit would make it seem like there is pressure and the system is fine. Anyone know if this could be the cause of the beeping? otherwise other suggestions would be appreciated because the beeping is driving me crazy
  24. New to the forum.... like 10 minutes new. Thanks for having me. Recently purchased a 2006 Elite V C4, Air Warrior. During the first couple of outings, I noticed that we were getting an inordinate amount of water in the bilge and the bilge pump was having to work overtime. After today's outing, inspected further and noticed the leak show in the component in the attached pic. It is on the starboard side, rear of the motor. I believe it is a component of the cooling system particularly the manifold maybe. It is down, very low in the transom area and has a blue drain plug. The leak doesn't appear to be from a hose, but the very bottom of this "knuckle" looking component. I have a 20 sec video that shows the leak, but unable to upload it here due to size restrictions. I'd sure appreciate any help identifying what I've discovered and any advice on handling the leak. The pic is from directly above the "knuckle" and for what it is worth, this component appears to be plastic and has a rubber cap at the top. Thanks in advance for any help members might provide!
  25. Can anyone tell me where I can find a wiring diagram for a 2006 Centurion Elite C4? I am having some issues with my speedometer and tach bouncing around and sticking at the max. mechanic suspects some kind of wiring problem but would like a diagram if possible. Just trying to track one down. thanks in advance.
