  1. Relatively new boat owner here. Purchased first boat in May - a 2007 centurion elite v c4. Now seem to be having issues with the center ballast. I could tell it wasn’t filling so I popped off the floor cover to take a look at it and the pump. When I hit the empty switch the pump will run, but when I hit the fill switch just get one clicking sound that sound like it’s coming from farther back near the engine (I did have the engine running when I hit the fill switch). I pulled the pump out to see the impeller and it was the same when I tried there as well. Impeller spins on empty, dead on fill, just that same short click noise coming from somewhere by the engine. Is there a trick to filling the center ballast, or is there a breaker or fuse or something that could have blown that’s preventing it from filling? Any help is appreciated.
  2. I have a new-to-me Avy C4 I got last week and put it in the water for the first time yesterday. I noticed that the bilge bump kept coming on every 20 minutes or so, shooting out the same amount of water each time (20-30 seconds). We parked the boat on the water and sat for about an hour and I turned the pump on again, shot out the same amount of water. Waited about 10 more minutes, then turned it on again and it shot out the same amount yet again. I checked the plug under the back seat every 30 mins or so, and it seemed to have the same amount of water in it constantly and didn't appear to fluctuate. The previous owner said he only had the issue when he had his ballast bags full, something about that type of bag having a coupling leak that needed to be fixed on the bag I believe. I didn't fill the bags up the entire time we were on it though, so I don't think that is the issue. I have seen some post about the shaft packing on other boats possibly being the culprit, but I couldn't find anything on this particular model. Any help or tips you guys could post would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi all, I recently purchased a 2005 Lightning C4. It came with the center ballast. I'm looking at adding another pump & run a y-fitting to both rear bags. For those that models similar to my year/model Centurion, where are your reversible pumps located?
  4. I have a Straight line Launch pad fat sack pump that needs work. The motor and housing is fine, the piece that the hose attaches to and/or that attaches to the sack Is cracked. I am trying to locate just that housing, not the hose or motor. Does anyone have any ideas? Or maybe a cheap replacement part or pump? I cant find the company on line?
