  1. Hello Forum, I've got a 2021 ZS212 with the 409hp engine. All of the sudden when Idling out of the marina the forward gear popped out and wouldn't go back in. Reverse is no problem. If I switch off the engine and then immediately back on, the forward gear would once engage for a few seconds before it pops out again. The longer I leave the engine off before switching back the longer the forward gear would engage before popping out. Reversing works always. Don't have any strange noises from the transmission, fluid levels for transmission and v drive are fine. Anybody got an idea?

  3. We recently acquired a 13' SV244, been a great boat so far except for the looming transmission and v-drive issue. I've been doing a lot of reading here and learning about these things trying to figure out what the issue may be, but so far have not been able to. So, I figured I'd probe the community and see what they thought may be the issue. First off, how we came to find the issue. We went on a longer boat ride with the plan to stop somewhere along the way to surf, when we stopped to surf the moment we accelerated the transmission started slipping. We decided to drain and head home, at that point we needed to limp home at idle it would no longer let us plain. What we've done since then to troubleshoot and attempt fixing. First we checked the fluids, Transmission read almost completely empty and the v-drive was full of milkshake. So, the next day we filled the tranny and replaced the oil in the v-drive. While we were in there we also checked the transmission cooler for blockages and found none. Afterwards we went for a test drive and everything functioned properly. Then did a secondary flush on all the fluids, Tranny and V-drive . The v-drive was still a little milky but that was presumably from us not removing all of the water the first time. Since then (about a week after fluid changes and daily use) the boat has been functioning properly and we have been checking the fluids at the end of each day. What we have found is that the transmission is definitely leaking fluid, it is visible on the belly of the boat. It isn't leaking a lot and also doesn't seem to be consistent. some days after use there will be little or none lost others it is noticeable. We've taken steps to try and identify the source of the leak but haven't identified it yet. The v-drive also seems to have an issue, it isn't leaking any fluid but it has a noticeable hiss of air when I remove the dipstick, probably an issue with the vent right? There's is also evidence of some droplets of milkshake starting to form if that makes sense? This could be remnants of water from the last 2 flushes. Anyways, If you guys have any ideas on what the issues may be i'd love to hear em' so we can get this boat fixed up. It seems odd to me that these issues are occurring at the same time, so my thinking is that there is something going on with the cooler even though it seems to be in good shape. Planning on doing another fluid flush sometime next week, keep monitoring the fluids and try to locate a leakage source.
  4. I see alot of people have had the issue and just wanted to see if a solution besides pulling it has worked... Seen same topic going back to 2008 .. I have a 2016 ri217 and do all the maintenance by the manual ... I have the Diacom software as well ...will be diving into it tomorrow Just wanted to see if someone would come through with a hail mary pass...
  5. Hello all - Hope your watersports seasons were good. Upstate Ny here so we typically have a few weeks left, however I blew my transmission last week on my 2010 Centurion Avalanche. Sucks, but good timing as it will spend the winter in the shop now. Question that I have, the boat has the PCM 343 with a PCM transmission Right Hand Rotation Prop. The dealer tells me that I can order the new transmission in left hand, and obviously change the prop. I am running the ACME 1234 which is absolutely great with hole shot, good top speed, and incredible on fuel efficiency, so I would switch to the 1235(LH version). My question is this - We mostly wake surf and are mostly all surfing normal side (not goofy) - would this be a good switch for me and does anyone foresee any issues? From all of my research it appears to me that the LH rotation will perform better and clean up my wake lip. Rest of set up - 780 pound bags in both rear lockers, 250 port and starboard under seats and 250 center under floor. Decent crew typically (4-6 minumum). Also I use mission wakeshaper.
  6. 1988 ski centurion falcon. I have forward fear but no reverse I hear it's common. I've already checked linkages and all and still nothing. Anybody know where I can get another one? Or maybe part numbers for a used one
  7. I've got a 2008 centurion T9 air warrior with 170 hrs. With the gear lever on transmission in the neutral position, transmission remains in gear with prop moving slowly. Is there an adjustment needed or am I looking at a rebuild?
  8. I was out this past weekend and towards the end of my trip I noticed the boat wouldn't shift out of drive Into neutral, and obviously won't shift into reverse. Any one had this happen to them or know what might be the issue. I'm hoping it's just a faulty control valve assembly and not something more serious. Any input and advice is greatly appreciated!
  9. Hello, I own a 2008 Enzo SV 220. Recently I have been having an issue with the boat slipping under a load (surfing) or accelerating hard. The engine compartment recently had quite a bit of water in it. We had a big rain storm and for some reason the bilge was not pumping out any water? From looking at posts on this site sounds like I may have water in the transmission oil and/or the Vdrive. Does my boat have a Vdrive and a transmission. The boat is 3 hours away and I need to pick up fluids in the city here. Can some body let me know what transmission oil I need and what fluid for the Vdrive? (Walter). Am I on the right track here. Is this actually my issue? Boat only has 120 hrs. Thanks for responses. Mike
