So, got back to my slip Saturday f from a w Indy session and my bilge was spitting out major water. Pulled the lid and disvoverd 6 inches of water in my block!!  It was hard to make out but I could faintly see the center plug sitting at the bottom of the transom. It took much effort to reach it, and once I got it it took greater effort to extract myself from the engine compartment(could have used someone pulling on my legs). Got the plug back jn and after 20 minutes of bildge and some tsunami pump action, she started right up. Scary sight to see your block underwater (sorry to hear about your troubles Chowder). Moral is fellas, check your plugs before launching.

Good night man! You are lucky. Check all your fluids better yet, change them, run it and change them again. Water could have seeped into the vents and contaminated the oils. Might not be a bad Idea to give the engine a little/light spray of WD-40 or Corrosion-X or any other type of lubricant.

Good luck brother

The same thing happened to me at my wedding at Lake Powell! The t handle actually wiggled out and wedged itself under the Vdrive while underway so when we stopped we couldnt unwedge it without a pry bar. I made a makeshift plug out of surf wax until we got it back to the houseboats and it worked great lol. Agreed check BOTH plugs every outing (even though I did) and now I check that center plug a few times every outing.

Maybe I should be happy that my center drain plug interferes with the blue drain plug on my V drive.

I didn't even know there was a 2nd drain plug. Where is it located?

LMAO who knows, probably came from fineline. It was in the engine bay with the rest of the loose nuts and bolts that are always rolling around in there when you get a new boat ;)

My 2015 FS44 does not have the center drain. My 2007 SV216 did.

Nor does my 2015 FS33, they added it back in sometime late 2015 early 2016
