2015 Centurion and Supreme Hookup West

Recommended Posts

Since the WCO and now the WEST Surf Exposure Weekend (westriders.org) are the only wake surf based events, or "get togethers" we are working with the CrewAdmin to plan a CCC Weekend for the west coast. Our store along with CenturionCrew.Com with help from Fineline will be putting on the event, assuming we get some water, we need to figure our where and when! Let me know your thoughts so I can get to work on it - should be a great turn out! Open to any water you guys think will work . . . some of my initial thoughts . . . .

- Clearlake : would be easy and isn't too far from anywhere with lodging on the water + campgrounds

- Lake Mendocino : Great for camping, good water, Ukiah is the closest lodging - only a 10 min drive

- Berryessa : Beautiful lake, but pretty much camping only

- Sonoma : I believe boat in camping only - 20 mins from hotels

- Shasta : Bridge Bay might work well and closer to he PNWers with lodging, camping, and house boats

- Camp Far West : Great camping, good water, but pretty far from hotels in Lincoln or Marysville

- Oroville : house boats and camping, lodging is probably not too far in Oroville

- Bullards Bar : not great camping, but beautiful water, hotels quite a ways away as well

- Dirty D : no clue on this one, but lets here some thoughts

We are just in the beginning stages so I can only suggest the lakes somewhat close by, but are very open to anywhere we can get a few boats to with lodging or decent camping for RV's. There are a ton of lakes I am not familiar with . . . . Bass lake, Comanche, New Melones, Don Pedro, Tahoe - any feedback is really appreciated, help us put together a CCC Weekend for the West!

Late June or Early Aug maybe

We will be at the WEST event next year (late July) but the timing didn't work for us for this year. We are looking forward to this and the WCO as well going into 2015!

Shasta is awesome as well as trinity lake and would be my top two pics. camp far west is awesome and people could rent trailers that don't have them and get them delivered and picked up from rockin RV on the cheep. Lake Orovile is super nice as well with lodging close. If their is something you need help with just let me know

Shasta is 525 miles from my house. Definitely doable. Lake Powell is possible too.

Unfortunately I'll be on my way back from Lake Powell on the 23rd and 24th, and then flying to TN on the 28th. Depending on work, I may can get down there an afternoon of the 25th or 26th. I'll try to work it out.

I love Tahoe but the water is every cold even in the summer,

Lake Don Pedro is a beautiful lake with great campsite as is New Melones

From my house to Lake Shasta is about the half way point to Seattle and I love Shasta besides lots of camping there are houseboats to rent also too.

What's nice about Don Pedro and New Melones is it only about 50 minutes away for Centurion factory in Merced.

I am all in for this West Coast CCC it will be great

Pray for lots of rain for next year

I'm with you on don padro or new melones 100% I'm in if it's at either of the two!!!! :) We love don padro it's beautiful there and our number 1 camping destination that's a responsible drive away. I've not made it to new melones yet but I'd like to check it out :) Edited by Nick213

Melones is my favorite local lake. I like Pedro too. I love Shasta, but it's a little too long of a haul for me to pull the boat with the RV...

Camp Far West is a cool spot too...

The only other lake mentioned that I've been to is Tahoe and I'm with Enzo101mo on that one. Beautiful, but too cold.

Praying for rain!! Remember Tahoe has the mandatory decontamination before you can launch, apparently it's expensive and takes a bit of time..

I have never been to any of the Central Valley lakes, but they all look amazing - I have always wanted to go the CIE Spring Ride at Bass Lake, "The Pines Resort" looks amazing. We are always down for camping on the water, which is why Camp Far West would be great too. By the way H Clearlake would actually be closer for you guys than CFW. In a perfect world I would think a place that had lodging on, or very close, and great camping would be the place.

If Konocti would ever sell this would be a no brainer! Bring back Boardstock and Worlds, what a great time that was :censored::drinks:

Clearlake would be a great combination if we could get the Southerners to come up to the Northbay . . . . This is our launch and public slips and docks @ Library Park with a great campground right there and a nice motel Skylark with their own private docks / pool only a couple blocks away and Konocti Vista Casino (where the last Boardstock / Worlds on Clearlake were pulled) only a few miles away with fuel on the water.

Check it out . . . .

Keep it coming . . . . . Lets make this great!

Hillside, you should just do it at clearlake since it's in your backyard. That lake is awesome as long as you have it in the early part of summer before the algae starts going nuts. Too bad they shutdown Konocti because they had the best concerts overlooking the lake.

We want it to be where everybody is happy, if we can get everybody down to come here then all the better, but I want to hear everyone's feedback and we can all decide - getting out of town isn't always a bad thing, but the accommodations here are great.

The water is a funny thing and only time will tell, but as of right now (those ramp pics were taken this morning) the lake is exceptionally clean . . . comparable to any normal lake, cleaner than Mendo and Camp Far West and the lake is empty relatively speaking as even when we are empty we have miles and miles of glass it just gets shallow in places. But next year the Algae could be back, its crazy . . .

On another note there are a lot of vacation rentals on Clearlake as well - guys from the PNW or So Cal could get together and rent a house with its own dock and even a lift . . . . the accommodations for people traveling in are what make Clearlake great.
