Seadek logo....Cant use centurion?!

Seadek says they can't use the centurion logo anymore for copyright reasons. Is there any other logo that wouldn't look cheesy? Im wondering if they can do just the centurion "helmet" and not the word...Not sure? maybe just "enzo SV211", again i dont think that would look as good.

Any suggestions from the crew?

Ya I think most manufacturers switched over to Gator Step anyway. Customer Service over at Seadek is less than stellar.

Or an option would be just do the simulated teak with nothing on it. I think gator step is now the OEM supplier that's why seadeck can no longer use the logo.

The owners of CenturionCrew.Com officially have permission, not every member of the site. I do not think they are trying to stop you personally from using the logo, they are trying to stop businesses from profiting off of the use of it without permission.

So back to my original question/statement, if SeaDek can't make it because of copyright reasons, gater step will have the same issue unless for some reason they have permission. Which would be odd unless there was a falling out.

Nope. Read it again and still don't see that. But I'll take your word.

 

I had SeaDek do a swim platform for me last year with the logo, I thought they were solid. But it was my only interaction with them

Viking hits on it ( I think most manufacturers switched over to gator step), then H does ( think gator step is the new OEM supplier).. If they (sea deck) say they can no longer do it, it's prolly because they were stopped by Fineline OR they got mad at Fineline and stopped offering it. And this kinda supports their comments... This coulda happens this year with the new boats because your correct, they offered it last year. I don't know for sure to be honest but obviously they were stopped and cannot do the Centurion logo. I would assume Supreme and Nautique fall under that as well? Just guessing from the posts made here bud and trying to help...

I've purchased from SeaDeck in the past. Personally I was happy with the products. But as of late I've read alot of negative comments with regards to customer service and orders not showing up correct! Seems quality control and end user communication is in the toilet. I would speculate that is why more than one manufacturer has jumped ship and sourced a new provider .........ie......Gatorstep.
