Well I did some research and there actually is something that does this on the market. They are available in both nylon and brass and come with a taller key. I ordered a nylon one to see if it works on my boat. At a minimum it should help with the cavitation I get in extreme cases. I'll post up how it works after I try it out.

Here is the one I ordered:http://www.generalpropeller.com/inboard-shafts-and-couplings/Nylon-Bore-Reducers/NB05

Well, just an update. The shim was too thick to get the prop on here. It would take one about half the thickness to be able to get my prop on over it, so as of now, no luck.

Old thread revival. Well, maybe.

Just wanted to share these pics and see what the people in the know thought about my old prop. It looks mis-shapen to me. But all four blades are pretty equal.

Old "darker" prop is the 2079 14.5x12. New "shiny" prop is the 1847 14x14.25. There is definitely a difference.

Hey dark, that just looks like a different cup, that's all

I just put a 1433 on my 210and it's awesome, I love, the pull when I am full of people and ballast, and just a wee bit of rudder shake

Is there any props for the 2008 sv230 that will perform better than an acme 1579?

Are you looking for more speed or more holeshot?

More holeshot I guess. I wiped out the prop so I'm getting a new one. We only surf and boats got enzo sacs and surf gates elevation is 2500ft.

Call Nettles Props and talk to them. They helped me pick out a new prop for my Avy this year.

I really liked a five blade prop on my 2007 SV230 but I’m at sea level. Call Nettles or Acme Props to get more insight.
