Photos of my boy Tommy. He's been battling depression off an on lately due to some deaths in his family. Two months ago I showed him some wakesurfing videos which he couldn't get over and wanted to try, so we planned a lake trip for this past weekend. We got him out and he started trying to say he was just going to watch because he was too big. We convinced him to get in the water and just try. The very first pull he stood up, got outside of the wave and into the pocket (he's never wake surfed, wakeboarded, skied, or even surfed!). He was so excited he kept saying that this completely changed his life, wake surfing is now going to be his passion. He recently lost 50lbs and is already (as of 6:15am this Monday morning) at the gym working out to lose more weight and get in good wake surfing form. No one in our group of friends ever saw this dude so happy!! #wakesurfingchangeslives

So on Saturday and Sunday we were on the lake riding.....today I flew over it on my way up to PDX....Couple of shots of Clear Lake and the fire from 30,000 feet.

Let me know next time you are coming to Portland and we can meet up and do some surfing.

I might suggest glow sticks tied to your surfers vest...you may have a spotlight on the boat and know that you have a surfer in the water, but the surfer has no way to show him/herself is there if another boat is zooming along in the dark.

Good point. We left them in the freezer and din't remember till we got out there. We had one guy that manned a spot, the second the rider went down he put the spot on them till they were at the swim platform.
