had that happen to me at pyramid lake outside of reno when beach launching I would say it is a ford thing but I was towing with a gmc 1 ton 4x4 pathfinder van after getting pulled out I let some air out of the tires and problem solved

Agreed, let ALOT of air out!! shovel a gradual way up and DONT CRAWL UNDER IT!

ALSO! if your gonna use a tow strap to help pull it out, put a towell, shirt, blanket, on OVER the strap so incase it snaps...it doesnt snap back at you and it expells that pent up energy into the towell instead of you. Just last hitch a guy just about lost his life over trying to pull out a truck. good luck

Welcome back dura!! yes sand hollow this week. I finally got it out. Had to unhook the trailer put a chain on the back of the trailer,oh and BTW dont even think about tow ropes in this situation they broke immediately chains only. As I hooked the chain up I had to put the switch blade up as far as it could go and barely missed it by a half an inch. In order to unhook the trailer I had to dig under the hitch. Then used a 2 ton jack to push up the tongue and put the front trailer wheel down. Had 5 guys sit on the back of the boat three to push and then closed my eyes as they yanked it out. Truck was no problem after the weight was gone. Here is the final result

What where you doing wheeling in the sand with the boat hitched up? Wife would have buried in the sand right next to the truck.

I know your season is always shorter than you would like it to be. I was thinking maybe in the off season you could start a field plowing buisness, heck you already have the switchblade put that baby down and GO!!!! LOL :unworthy: Glad you were able to get it back on solid ground :unworthy:

There are signs all over the place at this reservoir that say not to park on the shoulder, but I know better!! What I didnt include in this post was the stuck car carrier and 4 other vehicles as we tried to make our way down to the beach area where we camped. I was turning around to go down onto the beach and well you know the rest......
