Lets see your tow rig!

After seeing Wakedocs setup it reminded me of a tow rig thread I saw on another site. Lets see what everyone is towing their boat with.

Here is the family wagon - and the vehicle we usually tow with. Lowered tahoe/airbags in the rear.

I'm using a 2007 Tundra... Couldn't be happier with how the combo looks!

And yes, those are 22 in rims... :good:

tnak222, good looking truck

2 or 4 wheel drive, I am happy with the gearing in ours, put it in tow mode when we are towing on inclines and leave it in overdrive on basically flat surfaces, tows great if you stay 65 or under.

Bags helped our ride tremendously. We can have the tahoe loaded with six peeps, gear for a week in the boat and it rides better then it does stock. Although, with that weight and 24's it could use a little extra power or lower gearing going up long grades. Next rig will be another Tahoe with the 6.2l and six speed tranny.

Here is the picture from the day I picked up my Elite V earlier this summer. Tow rig is a mileage tuned 03' F350 Powerstroke. With an intake, chip, exhaust, and a little handy work with a hole saw it now gets 17mpg all day long when pulling the boat and a truck full of gear/beer. The extra mileage over stock really pays off for the 360 miles to the weekend lake and back.

08 4x4 We definitely have some hills around here, I do the same thing with hills but hate going 65 it feels like your going no where with 6 people both full of fuel I'm getting like 8 mpg but I guess I really cant bit*ch when I drive 75-80 to the water.

I went to look for a pic of my rig and could find one. I guess my subconscious is ashamed of my soccer mom tow rig. I got an 04 grey expedition completely stock.

elc - where did you get your bags? Thinking of something like that for my Burb.

I got them from a local shop because they found the bags that would fit inside Eibach lowering coils (stock tahoe/burb bags did not fit). You can find firestone or air lift helper springs for the Burb all over the internet for around $100. They were very simple to install.

Here are the bags that I ended up with:

Thanks elc - I'll check it out. That video made it seem very simple.
