  1. Power issue

thanks for all the help guys... turns out that my 50amp breaker on my motor was tripped. Easy fix once i knew where it was... Happy memorial day to everyone.
  2. Power issue

Bad news, just went out to check all the wires again to make sure I dont have any loose connections.... now the whole boat is dead. Nothing turns on at all. I went to turn on the power just so id know if the blower kicked on when i moved a wire... dead. So i know i didnt loosen something because nothing was touched. HELP!!
  3. Power issue

Its a 2009 Avy, don't think i have them in there.
  4. Power issue

power disconects? I forgot to mention that I did reset the one breaker that I know about, its the small black one next to my amps in the big storage locker under the winshield, but nothing changed.
  5. Hi everyone, I just pulled the boat out of storage, put the batteries back into the boat (both were tested and recharged), and I have power to all the gauges and switches, but none of them function. As an example, the blower switch lights up, but doesnt work. Same goes for the horn, ballast, nav lights, stereo, etc etc. The engine will turn over but because I'm not in the water I don't let it start up. Also, i have visually inspected all of the fuses and everything is connected securely. What am i missing here? Is there a breaker that i dont know about and need to reset? Thanks for all the help in advance. Austin
  6. Best California lakes for camping

So we decided to do multiple trips this year and just made reservations at new melones... which i think is the same name for a spanish boob doctor. Anyways, almost every campsite was available on the weekend of july 15th. Is that normal? I also looked at the 4th and again, only a handful of the sites were taken. Anyone have any first hand knowledge of the camping there? we are in the Ironhorse loop and are tent camping.
  7. Best California lakes for camping

True, but it's my wife's parents and they are retired so I'm sure they won't mind... Besides, where the baby goes, the grandparents usually follow. :-)
  8. Best California lakes for camping

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think Shasta and bullards are going to be the choices. Lake Tahoe is awesome but the water only gets to about the upper 60's tops...
  9. Hi everyone! Winter is almost over and the family and I are damn excited to start camping and boating again... This year we are going to meet up with our family from southern cal for a week or two of fun. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best places to boat AND camp? We looked at don pedro but they dont allow dogs in the campgrounds, and lets be honest, who goes camping without their dogs?!? Also, we are in Reno so something within a 3-4 hr drive would be our limit. Thanks for all the help in advance! Austin

  11. CREW DEAL: SeaDek Swim Platform Pads

I'd like to order one but have a big issue with durability... we bring our dogs on the boat and i'm worried that the dogs paws will tear up the material. Anyone know if thats true or not?
  12. Haven't had it back on the water yet to feel the hose, i'll check it on sunday. Also, the impeller is in the motor just to the rear of the ballast tank correct? I found that but didnt see how to open it without using force. I might just have my mechanic check it when the season is over, until then its not really needed.
  13. Hi everyone, So the first day we had the boat, we filled the center ballast and no big deal. The overflow let me know it was full and when we emptied it, it worked great too. But now i can turn it on to fill and wait 10, 15, 20 min and nothing. I can hear the pump running so I attempt to empty it just to see if anything is there and i dont even get a trickle out of it. I did get into a fairly shallow part of the lake a week or so ago, 3 feet, but wasnt filling it at the time. Im wondering if its just clogged. Any suggestions? Thanks Austin

Does that mean we get discounts on IS gear?!?!
  15. Welcome to the site, The way my wife and i put it up seems the be the simplest way possible and you will definitely need two people to avoid the headache. First thing is to lock in the middle long poles. Lay the bimini out but dont connect the short front poles yet. Next, the two curved poles will slide into the tower and should fit all the way to the plastic stopper, curving downward. Have the other person raise the front of the bimini up so that you have plenty of slack and connect the curved poles to the bimini fittings. Then just pull the front back down and lock the short poles into place. Clear as mud? As far as storing it on the tower, we take it completely off, put the boot on it, and then connect the long poles to the front connectors (where you locked in the short poles). Once it's connected, just use the straps to secure it to the tower and you're good to go. Hope that helps, Austin
