I'm thinking once you drive your new 233, it won't be an issue for you.

Probably right. Certainly what I am hoping for!

You will love the boat I'm sure. On my lake there is a moomba, a MC center console, an occasional axis, a new x2. They all have at one point or other stopped me and asked how in the world does my 230 do what it does? How can I get so far back? I've seen the moomba guys have 2 people hanging off the tower trying to lean the boat to surf. The brand new axis guy can't even throw the rope in, yes the wave is that bad. He needs more weight.

I finally just started telling them if y'all want to surf just go get a used Enzo. Those older MC boats absolutely suck at making a surf wave.

If you've never been behind an Enzo with 3000lb of ballast you are going to be amazed.

Any questions I'll do what I can to answer from my experience. Overall it was a good time. Boat is the make of KISS (keep it simple stupid) everything is minimalist and simple. Ballast? Toggle switch for each side(600). Actually has a pump for each, that surprised me.

With just one side full at 600 and 4 people on the boat (my bad I said 3 in video.. It was later when someone left and a surfer got in.) and a fat brick not all the way full the wave was rideable, very tall but short. It really needed extra nose weight and a couple more people or some more water/lead.

It's hardish to see on any of my pics but it does have a defined lip, it's just oddly back a little bit, after that there is this odd dead spot... Well not dead, but flat without so much push. Very easy to wiggle around in (the better surfer said spins are really nice here... I can't do that... So idk from my experience)

The boat is stupid fast for a wake boat. It really is a little rocket.

The seating is odd. But not insanely disruptive and I didn't find it bad for socialization at all. It's not really a center console... It's just like a dual console with the driver in the middle, hard to explain.

Wakeboard wake looked really nice. Bigger Than mine used to be and nice and clean at 19-20 mph with ballast full.

It really, really needs a 300-400 sac in that front locker. Bow rises a lot and the wave is a little short without it, but I think with a bag in front middle and maybe the people all on the side it could be a really fun wave.

I enjoyed the boat. I still don't love the looks, you get used to it in the water pretty quick but it's just a weird shape out of the water.

He is going to keep me updated on the next boats to come in as he dials it in further, maybe I can get some pictures with one truly sacked out.

Now, in that price range you can look at a lot of used boats, and I for sure will be. But, I think the negativity of the Internet hype train isn't deserved. It's a cool little piece of work and I'm glad it exists. I went in trying to keep an open mindset even if my initial impressions were extremely negative. I was impressed.

What happens when you take a roller over the side and it swamps your ipad? Is there a waterproof case for it?

Is the front middle area a trunk for storage? I had assumed not (making there almost zero storage), but perhaps that is a storage area.

Yea sorry I tried to explain that the front middle is for storage. It's rear locker-ish sized. There also is a tray that can be had that goes in the engine bay for lifejackets and stuff. There is a pouch under the helm, bug spray, wallets, sunscreen, teddy Graham's etc. In general there is very little storage if you bring a lot of crap with you.

As far as the roller, if I'm taking a 5ft roller over the side to get to that tablet there are other problems that are of greater concern than the tablet. The tablet is just connected by an app over wifi/Bluetooth anyway. You could connect the tablet and then shoot it or throw it overboard or whatever you want to do and the boat still works fine. You still have a vitals gauge. I'm sure you can go on Amazon and find a waterproof case for whichever devise you have if you're really into taking rollers over the side though...?

For those using tapatalk videos dont display, there is a video in the post above doing a walk around but you need to be viewing it in desktop/web mode not just on tapatalk

i can't get over how cheap the interior looks. it looks like all the seats are built out of that same thin material that you would find on one of those portable stadium seating chairs.

Thanks stretch. I can kind of see the market they are after, the dang things will probably sell like hot cakes and even come with oversize shades and a straight bill ball cap.

Yea I do think they will sell. I think they can pull a lot of the borderline I/O market. I would much rather they buy one of these and be safe surfing, with a good wake.

Fully optioned out they still stay cheap, you would have to go pretty intense to get it much over 50 MSRP really and at that point it seems like you need to sit back down and reconsider what you are looking for. People seem to be thinking you can get other "budget" popular boats for like the same money but I am not believing it anymore. I priced an a20 at 68k "on sale" and they sold it before the end of that day. No problem at all moving it... and none of the new dealer stock is stripped down and bare bones because why would they if they are selling them for 70 grand?! I would have to custom order one just to get the thing under 60 MSRP and then there goes a lot of dealing room with a custom boat a dealership doesn't want on the floor. I priced a supreme and ran into a very comparable problem, slightly less but still WAY more than this boat and they want to option out floor model budget boats.. because they can. ( also I like the Fineline dealer in my area, they were really nice and have good reviews but JUST picked up the brand so they don't have any boats that aren't just ordered and they are all selling like hot cakes it seems, which is great for them/supreme)

It seems to really get down to close to equal price you are comparing crazy deals on new old stock from a year or two ago, or buying used. (All fine options, just saying from my findings it really is cheaper than any other current v drive options)

Close your eyes and it feels good but the wrinkling of the vinyl I did not care for. Probably biggest negative for me actually.

New I agree i don't think you'll find something price comparable unless you're talking Moomba or something even then they're more money. Used yes, I'd probably sell you my mint 211 for a good amount under 60k. My concern is the odd layout, and that I don't believe for a second the wake on that tractor would even hold a candle to mine. But as a young guy who is typically out with 3 other people I can definitely see the appeal in this type of boat. Ill admit I question selling my boat and getting into a loaded brand new moomba rather than shoveling out another 50k for almost what I want from Fineline. I would like to see this boat company is 4-5 more years and where they go.

Thanks for the time and the write-up on this Stretch, I know it took some time. I was very curious about these boats after seeing some for sale online. Seems like they are beginning to come onto the market in full force. Very interesting. I'd like to crawl around one sometime. And surf behind one, of course

When I was Alabama last week I saw a dealer with one... Why would anyone want a little tiny boat that you can't tell the front from the back. It looks way to goofy. I would feel like a guy that could afford the rest of the boat

No problem! After all, it was a free surf trip so it's not all work haha. Plus, it was the best surfing I've ever done and he wouldn't let me pay for fuel so it was good stuff. Granted I probably bought his new sand rail with my last boat :p
