Asymmetrical plate anyone?

Recommended Posts

Finally got to test mine over the weekend!

I'm not a goofy rider I just did it for my goofy a$$ friends and I had to take a run with it to see ;)

Sorry not the best pic of the wave but it was all I have of it.

Hi Nick great meeting up with you last weekend. I was thinking about adding a hydraulic trim plate like you did. Who did you talk to a Fineline? How much did it cost? I have made up the Asymmetrical plate last year but it's stationary

Nice meeting you and your wonderful family as well!

I talked to Gloria at fineline but nothing I bought from them worked :(

The steering wheel switch didn't fit my column and they sent me a hydronic ram.

I got a lenco 101 actuator and a cheap switch from west marine.

If you want the hydronic ram and the steering wheel switch I'll give them to you for what I payed :)

You'll also need a new plate or a hing welded onto the one you have.

Here's some pic's!

You'll have to mount it to the transom so it doesn't cause spray

Had my old plate cut and powder coated to fill the holes

Here's the cheap a$$ switch I'm not happy with :(

Nick I know you told me, what year is your Boat? Mine is 2005 Enzo SV 230 and if it don't fit on yours it might not fit on mine too.

Does anyone else know what trim system I would need?

Nick,

If you want to do the steering column lever type switch it will work. That's what I did on mine. You just have to cut/modify the mounting plate. You also have to run relays to reverse the power for up/down. I have a wiring schematic I drew if you need it.

OMG that would be awesome!!!!

If you couldn't tell not having the factory switch irritates the poo outta me, not to mention it cost a arm and a leg!

Did you happen to take any pic's of what you had to modify on the switch?

Yeah, I hear you. I am the same. Even down to getting clear 1" ballast hose for the full/empty and black 3/4" for my vents when I did my custom system since that's what the factory was.

I didn't take any pics of the modified plate, but basically I cut a section out to make it a "C" instead of an "O". Then drilled a hole and installed a set screw in the metal steering wheel mount to hold it in place.

OK Guys would this work on an older Enzo and does the outer plates make the wakes bigger for surfing or is it for stability. I been looking for the Hydraulic trim kit and keep seeing dual trim kits and dual up and down switches

You should just need a lenco actuator, switch, wires and a-plate. Not sure what you mean by "trim tab kit"

The "outer" plates are Quicksurf tabs. The newer centurions have them as an option. Same deal as the gates, you evenly weight and then use them to shape a wave

The lenco actuators are electric. No hydraulic pump/reservoir needed.
