'13 elite V? What should I pay?

Recommended Posts

crimson850    11

Overby Marine has a 13 elite V...

Can anyone give me an idea of what I should pay for this boat? Im really thinking that it is worth around 40k, not much higher.

I am new to inboards, wake boarding and surfing. Would this be a good boat to do all of those things? What about skiing?

This unit has around 100 hours so it is not yet broken in. I hear that because of the hull shape it handles chop well. Here on Smith Mountain Lake in VA, the weekends are so crowded I usually will not even put the boat in the water, but i don't want to get beat around too much?

It has the 303...Realistically how is this engine both on power and fuel economy? My current stern drive has 260hp so it will surely be a lot better than that.

Basically whats the skinny on the elite V.

heres the listing-http://www.overbymar...lite-V-C4.aspx'

It has3 these things I know2013 Centurion Elite V C4

100 hours

Tandem axle trailer with aluminum wheels

full surf ballast

Wetsounds Rev 8 tower speakers

subwoofer

Wetsounds WS420 EQ system

Boat cover

bimini top

Have you checked the nada guide and what they say its worth? You can get an idea of what it's blue book value is but then the market value depends on where you are located and the availability of Centurions in your area. Out here in CA its a lot cheaper since we have a lot to chose from and boats usually go like $4-5K less then nada. Out on the east coast might be another story since they are few and far between. They have the same boat brand new for the same price.

That is a a good price for a new one, and it could probably be bought for 47k, I sure wish it was on the east coast!

I can't be sure whats fair pricing, but I can assure you everyone I have spoken with has loved overbys, theres simply no beating his prices and customer service. my family has been doing business with the overby family for decades, before I was born. You can't go wrong with whatever boat you get from him. hands down best dealer you'll ever find

It should be a 330 or 343. Not 303

That is a friend's of mine boat. he traded it in on a new boat. I have been on this boat and it is super clean!!! major upgrades for an Elite V! The coat, the Rev 8's, Sub, 420! All awesome stuff. The motor has no problem pulling that boat! And the PCM fuel economy is great for Surfing. My 409 in the 244 only burns 6.5 GPH, my 233 with the 343, was 5.5 so that one should be better.

I am not sure where you are getting 40K from, but with all the upgrades, the fact that it is in great shape, and the dealer that is representing it, it is well worth that price. Plus it has the Micro Vision Dash!

Trust me it is a clean boat!

It's a PCM 343. The 303 has to be a misprint.

I had an EliteV with the Black Scorpion 330 for the last 5 years. No perfect pass. Had no trouble holding surf speeds listed with about 1800lbs of ballast plus people. Had some trouble holding wakeboard speed with 1500lbs but got up on plane easily. I have no doubts that the 343 will be plenty of power for the EliteV with perfect pass doing the work of maintaining your speed.

It is not a misprint. It is in fact a 303hp 305 cubic inch motor.

Yep. PCM 303 HO 5.0L V8. Runs very strong in the Elite V. PCM's lineup (at least when that boat was produced) Was 303, 343, 409, 450, 550.

303 HP? At lower elevations I'm sure it's ok. But I'd be Leary at higher elevations. I'm used to my 330hp. I know what my elite can and can't do with as much ballast I run.

Sac it out with 750's, 370 under the seat, and 400 lbs of either peeps or ballast on the seat and report back.

That'll give you the surfing wave for rope-less fun.
