As for an adult that cannot swim- I don't judge. Who knows what may have happened in one's lifetime to make the thought of getting in the water without flotation unbearable?

Thank you...I have a great respect for water and have recently started learning to tread water as that has always been my downfall in the swimming thing. As a child taking swming lessons I had a sinus infection which would cause migraine like headaches when I would put my head under the surface of the water. As a child this was terrifying and I refused to put my head under water for a long time after. I also never continued lessons. I wear flotation in the water at all times and hope that if the time arises I will be able to help when needed. We should as a boating community all know how to swim I believe, but I understand first hand if you do not and I hope others do too.
