My apologies Big Po, just checked with the product manager to see what's up and basically due to "Minimum Advertised Price Policy" (reseller/vendor agreement) we can't advertise that price anymore. However if you are still interested in purchasing feel free to make that offer in our eBay store.

Nobody's offer has been accepted since the price went back up. I think what happened is that VMI accidentally listed the price of the KM6500 for the KM6500.2 for a short time - then corrected the mistake! - evidenced by the fact that absolutely no one is discounting these speakers (and certainly not by over 50%!)

 

Oh well... Those that have them, are they worth $500? I sure like the concept. I have four 6.5" speaker cans I got form DIY Wake which I like, but the Phoenix Gold speakers that came with them reach to about the swim platform...

And I dont know how I feel about the price being $229.95 for 2 of the guys, then when a bunch of us show interest....BAM! Price is back up to MSRP for the rest of us.

 

I have a local buddy who can get me audio stuff for cost....I'm gonna see how cheap he can get some for me.

This stuff must be like a curse....I just clicked on my email, and there was something from VMI there (Haven't done anything more than visit their site...No signing up for anything) for a brief second that said Hello Austin (my name) and was popped up. Now I can't get it to pop up again to see what it is. This is just creepy. VMI, if you're listening....Stop it.

Secondly the guy has come on here twice and told you 2 separate ways to buy these things. Contact Crew Admin, or Ebay, and make an offer.

VMI thanks for taking the time to come on the site and spread the word. I am highly considering getting these to compare to my 8" Krypt HLCDs

 

For anyone having trouble getting these at the sale price, my recomendation would be to PM lucky via these forums, submit the ebay bid, and CALL the company and tell them your ebay username, and that your from the Crew.

You cant expect to get 50% MSRP for no work can you?

Also, why are you getting so defensive towards VMI? You sure seem to know ALOT about VMI....You working for them?

 

The best you got is to bring up a post I made almost a month ago.....Come on dude, get real. We're past this point already...It was settled the day I posted that post, and it hasn't happened since. So why don't you drop it like the rest of us have.

 

I'm just saying that I don't think it's fair to post one price, let 2 folks buy, then jack up the price when more show interest...

As noted before, I'm not sure how but the word got out to our supplier that we are selling them below the "minimum advertised price" - so we had to change it back due to our agreement with our supplier.

Negative good sir, we do not engage in that sort of activity. I can think of only two reasons when products would be heavily discounted:

1. Daily Steal products - a daily promotional offer for one product marked as such until the inventory runs out for the day.

2. Getting rid of old inventory that has been sitting for too long

Lucky I have no stake in this thread but can say this I have done business with VM in the past and never had a problem and got what I thought to be a good deal.But now for my advice for you to be a dealer on any of these sights and be successful you have to frequent regularly and build your reputation by giving advice and assistance to members no mater weather you make a sale from it or not the boat community spends lots of $$$ on stereo gear and there is business to be earned but you have to be active.A couple good examples of this is Tim from wetsounds and Dave from earmark both are dealers and give advice and tec assistance freely sale or not and have become very valuable members of the community.And my last piece of advice be careful how you deal with WAKEDOC he is one of my good friends and has quite a bit of stroke with the crew JMTC..............H

Im just curious as to why the VMI links are allowed to stay and promote the confusion this thread is creating in terms of price, and how to get the price, and who needs to talk to who. IMO I would remove the links, PM VMI and ask them to setup the deal with you so that ALL crew members can get the OP deal

 

And I was kidding I dont work with VMI, nor do I represent them, nor have I ever done business with them, but if they setup a crew deal for these speakers at that unadvertised low price I think I would be in for some.

Great, the "best offer" listing was cancelled on ebay today (4/20) and apparently there NEVER WAS a crew discount in the works! The whole thing feels shady now.
