Looking at buying a used 230 enzo. Question about wave.

Like the title says I'm looking at a used 2007 enzo 230. My question is it comes with a go surf assist system and has the switchblade. Has anyone ever used both and is the wave any good? Heres the listing for those interested. https://www.jescoboatingcenter.com/default.asp?page=xPreOwnedInventoryDetail&id=6488539&p=1&s=Year&d=D&t=preowned&fr=xPreOwnedInventory#gallerySlider

Be sure to check that the Switchblade actually works it’s not installed in the photos. You will need someone to hit the up and down switch on the dash while you are back at the transom to see if it goes up and down.

The other issue is that it has sideswipe exhaust. It will be loud. Some are ok with that. I recommend you take it for a test drive to see if you are fine with the loudness. I would suspect the wave is quite good with gosurf and Switchblade. You will still need ballast. Additionally that has an EVO tower check for cracks as parts for those towers are not available. Looks like it’s in good condition.

We have on '06 with Switchblade.  I honestly cant say I see a difference with it for the surf wave.  If surfing is your goal then you will need Enzo sacks for the rear compartments (1400lbs each).  Most will go through and remove the factory sprinkler valves in the rear to speed up the fill times. Search and there a tons of threads on this boat since it's known to make a great surf wave.  As Packrat mentioned, the sideswipe can be annoying after awhile.  There are a few options for internal baffles to quiet them down.  Clean looking boat and we still love ours, deep v hull is great for big water if that is what you have.

Sideswipe is loud and I have heard some people don't like it due that, other than that tho with the right amount of ballast that boat throws a great wake. @Hein made some cowls for the sideswipe on his SV230, believe he said that helped quite them down some. Think he also had custom sacs made and posted the measurements.

Having GSA is a great upgrade and it works great on these deep V boats. I installed the InfinityWave surf tabs on my enzo (SV244) this Spring, love them!

Thanks for all the reply's. Im going to take a look in person next weekend. Dealer says they rear bags have been upgraded to 750s. Will this be enough or does it need the enzos?

my '13 230+ has 1100's in rear lockers that we think fill to about 1000. Not sure if same as yours. Love my GSA system. We don't have blade. List slightly to surf side still so carbon fiber vents are nice

You'll need more weight.  I believe some have used 700's under the seats and added another 1000lb bag in the rear compartments

Is the goofy wave as good as the regular? My wife is goofy and im regular so having a similar wave on both sides is important to me but ive heard negatives about the goofy wave on the 230.

I have documented what I did to my SV230 in another recent post, but with the double wing tab and surf tabs from Infinity Surf my goofy wave is actually better than my regular wave.  1100 in the back lockers running about 75% on the non-surf side.  You can check out my other post with more details.  Still hoping to post some pictures one of these days.

Getting an A-plate or the double wing plate will make a difference on the goofy wave but that may be hard with the switchblade system. Since they dont seem to be using it on that boat, maybe its an option to remove it and add another plate to the center that is adjustable.

With the InfinityWave surf tabs and my factory A-plate, the goofy side wave is larger/cleaner than the regular side.

Sorry for the delay. My goofy wave is awesome with GSA and A-plate. I also have FAE with no interfering spray.

Again I do not run a switchblade. I wouldn't be afraid of removing it if you don't like the results. These hulls throw great waves
