brain eating amoeba killed 24 year old on Colorado River

just thought that I'd share this article about this issue since people go boating on the Colorado River. It's a rare case but it can happen.

I'm torn on this one. Think I'd rather have a lake life and die young than avoid water altogether.

 

But then again, if I lost a kid to this...well, that might be a different story.

We have had this in Texas and Oklahoma. It usually happens in stagnate water. If I remeber rite the statistics are are very low. You have a greater risk of getting killed driving to the lake or boating than this. Still it is something to think about
