  1. Hello, I own a 2008 Enzo SV 220. Recently I have been having an issue with the boat slipping under a load (surfing) or accelerating hard. The engine compartment recently had quite a bit of water in it. We had a big rain storm and for some reason the bilge was not pumping out any water? From looking at posts on this site sounds like I may have water in the transmission oil and/or the Vdrive. Does my boat have a Vdrive and a transmission. The boat is 3 hours away and I need to pick up fluids in the city here. Can some body let me know what transmission oil I need and what fluid for the Vdrive? (Walter). Am I on the right track here. Is this actually my issue? Boat only has 120 hrs. Thanks for responses. Mike
  2. I did this today and I thought this might be helpful for folks to know, if you have this motor. Oil Filter: NAPA Gold 1060 (this is the deeper/larger version of the prior NAPA filter, 1069 I think) Oil Cocktail: 2 qts NAPA Synthetic 15/50 2 qts NAPA Synthetic 10/30 1 qt Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer Serpentine Belt: NAPA Micro-V AT 25060870 This is a half inch shorter than the Mercruiser part 57-865615, but my original belt was longish; at the end of my adjustment. This NAPA belt is just BARELY long enough at 87-5/8" OC. I'm guessing the Mercruiser part is 88" OC. If you aren't on the last two or three notches of your tensioner adjustment, this belt will be too short for you.
  3. What oil does everyone like for their PCM Engine? I have a 2010 PCM ZR-409 that calls for 15W-40 GF-4/SM and I'm wondering what brand people like the best. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
  4. Not sure why, but when I do a search nothing comes up. So I am sure this has been addressed before, sorry. I bought my boat last spring from an owner who took great care of it, '07 216 ENZO. I really want to keep up the tradition and I am good with car maintenance but a complete newbie to boat maintenance. I am guessing that everyone can help me with a list of items that I will need to check every fall and spring. Along with a good step by step basic how-to for these items, with product suggestions. I live in an area where I will be buying all of my supplies online, unless they are something that is available from a typical auto parts store. And the nearest boat shop is about 2+ hours away. I store my boat in a heated garage all winter, so a full winterization is not necessary in the fall(I think/hope). A list of items I am guessing need to be checked/changed or replaced; Engine oil Oil filter Water pumps (engine and ballast) Transmission oil (or gear box I think) Battery condition and charge (they have been on a trickle charger/conditioner most of teh winter) Trailer brakes Trailer tire grease Items I am not to sure about; Maintenance for the location where the drive shaft goes through the bottom hull Other areas within the hull that are not typically visible Will a "Fake A Lake" allow me to run the engine for a limited time or run ballast pumps for testing? Thanks in advance.
