When using an impeller style pump, can you fill the bag or tank from the bottom. To clarify, can your fill line (which is obviously the drain as well because of this style pump) feed into the bottom port of the bag, which is typically used as the drain?

When using a reversible pump fill is always the lowest port on the back side of the bag so yes you must fill from the bottom if using the same pump to drain that is how mine and many others on this sight have their systems set up...........H

With a reversible impeller type pump (johnson or jabsco) it is best to have the fill/empty hose to the rear bottom of the sac. But it is not essential. The pumps are self priming so it will work even if the hose is on the top of the sac.
