Suckgate-setup

Recommended Posts

I have a homemade suckgate and one that a friend bought and gave to me... not sure of the brand.

I have my regular wave dialed in pretty good but cant seem to get the goody side clean.   Thought that I would try the suckgate.

I cannot seem to get it to "stick"  I a have a 2012 sv244 and it seems like since the side of the boat is not completely flat it will not get a good "suck".   I have found a "sweet spot" where it will suck but it is too high out of the water.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated!

We've had great suck-cess (<sorry) with the Suckgate on my friends SV233 on both sides. Your ballast setup could have something to do with it. And then it couldn't as well. If you don't have enough "counterweight" you'll never get it submerged on an SV. their hulls are just not very tall at the back of the boat.

Our setup is everything full, but drain 20ish% out of the non surf side. The goofy wave is ridiculous. Check out suckgate.com for the boat in action.
