What board next?

This is he board my 165# son surfs behind our elite. What kind of board should we get next? I hear skim, long, etc but since we know no one who does this(except here of course) what kind of board round he like next?

 

My girls and I ride Victoria Surf boards they are skim style & we love them. Light weight easy to do tricks on

 

My husband rides a phase 5 hammerhead

 

He's 205lbs and it floats him well

I've been working with brigade wake surf board and they have been great. They hand make there boards! Check them out

My wife rides a hybrid of sorts. She Has a custom parabolic soul skimmer with c5 twinzer fin boxes. She runs an A6 purple pinky center fin with chaos twinzers. It works really well for her it's loose enough for her to do her skim tricks yet still has enough drive for her to pump the board for surf style air. If just wanting to skim you pull the twinzer fins and completely changes the board which gives you options
