  1. Honestly the holes are inside the transom they don't pass into the hull so no leak would occur so don't think I did anything but sure throw little marine sealant on or silicone if it makes ya warm and fuzzy wont hurt anything.
  2. Ya I also have my sub above the foot rest its a bazooka tube the big one it works well, when it goes I def planning on cutting one in I know its been done here before. My thought was just use the fiberglass as a box maybe add some poly stuffing might sounds like crap not sure could also port the box.
  3. keep searching someone sells a bimini with the brackets I remember seeing it when I was looking to replace my canvas only. If i recall it was a place in Arizona someone will know
  4. 2007 typhoon I replaced the steering cable the first year I got it because it was tough turning even at no wake speed, new cable fixed that issue. However it was always tough at cruise speed like not impossible but you need both hands on the wheel since we primarily surf turning isnt really and issue, until now we starting pulling my 3 year old on tube and it kinda sucks trying to whip it around even at 15mph. Should also mention I took the rudder stuff all apart cleaned and greased and its all smooth. Question is this normal for these boats my buddies G23 is way easier but we talking much new boat. Thanks cheers

  6. Bought those 2-3 years ago from alloy and no issues and we when surf its burried 6".
  7. IAC valve has to be your issue it will make it idle and start all wacky, make sure plug wires on distributor are right and replace the rotor and cap together. cap and rotor should be quicksilver 805759Q3 75% boat shops suck and just take your money don't trust them. Please post follow up don't be a dead threader people took the time to help you return the favor for future people with same issue.
  8. another dead end thread from a newbie
  9. Well Finally everything is settled it appears.... Guys check your harness end that plugs into the water sensor mine was having connection issues and really giving me headaches. I was able to find out its the same plug they use on a lot of chevys so $30 later rock auto had it spliced it in and all good. the part number on rock auto is S619 or oem number was 19368669 for me.
  10. 06 enzo vs 07 avalanche c4

I have a 07 typhoon 23', Id go with the bigger enzo 1' is major difference. I couldn't see them being priced the same as enzo are always high but its worth it, both good boats IMO
  11. update again, think the end harness connector isn't making great contact so I was looking to replace the end but seems unavailable so I'm going to try and take apart clean and tighten up the pins. Also had my alternator go last weekend so just a few issues I'm working threw but luckily hasn't kept us from enjoying the boat, alternator was dropped off at a local shop Monday and he confirmed it was bad and is rebuilding it for $180 hopefully be back this week.
  12. Update even if I'm talking to myself. I hate dead threads and this forum seems to be dying. I check all grounds and cleaned them, still had issues so I went back and replaced the water sensor for second time and the alarm went away. What I think happened is the sensor goes bad so frequently I immediately replaced that with a bad new sensor then I fixed the real issue which was the blockage at the transmission cooler but the bad sensor was still causing issue. I ran it twice on fake lake for 10 min or so and zero beeps so hopefully get it in the water this weekend and all is right.
  13. ya I bet the bilge is auto and manual thats how mine is on my typhoon. Definitely add a battery with a perko switch $150 piece of mind while out on the water.
  14. so picked the boat up today the shop told me they were unable to clear the code at all then tried charging me 160$ and said sorry we cant fix it. the guy got real angry quickly said make it 100 and never bring it back as if I would take it back after they failed to help at all. Next step is to check grounds I guess and make sure the harness is making good contact with the sensor some how maybe soldier in a new harness.
  15. So last night I pulled the hose of the inlet side of the trans cooler and it was caked with tons of junk seaweed and garbage confident that had to be my issue. Start the boat and again double beep soon as I turn key to on position. I'm fairly certain it needs cleared by a dealer and is what I guess people call a sticky alarm. Also checked my new impeller and it seems fine.
  16. Had and having same issue first thing is try the water pressure sensor on cooler housing by distributor.
  17. rebuild carb then clean it again and again always a fuel issue 99.99% of the time.
  18. https://alloymarine.com/ Call them super helpful
  19. I also broke mine looked around and I found the ones they use on new nautiques fit my typhoon and probably your av as well they are pricey as hell but amazing that play or slop you have now when the swim deck is on water and waves hit it will go away its major improvement. I grab a pic when I get home and try to find the company that makes them. And yes the threads are in the hull small modification to the brackets and they worked nice.
  20. Currently having the same issues Ive had our 07 typhoon for many years and usually when I get the beep beep I replaces the IAC sensor or the water pressure and it goes away (with no code needing cleared). So Idid that this time around and I still have the beep as well. I bought a mercury vessel view that connects boat to phone and only code i get is the water pressure, tried a second sensor and no change. The odd thing for me I don't know if you are having same issue is it beeps soon as I turn boat key on like before I even crank engine. I get the one beep like usual then few seconds later the beep beep. Ive read about loosing a good ground to sensor but seems like its ok when i check with a multimeter but I also cant find out what wires are what on sensor I have a three wire sensor and I think some are two. Hope we can figure this out together haha i searched high and low but no good solid straight info on how to clear codes what's sticky codes and if you add a new ground to sensor what wire black??
  21. some info on wake garage about building one, they look good.
  22. also planning this job amazon has pretty good price at 131$ if you catch it at the right time but sometimes its as high as 145
