Hi all, I wanted to share my recent modification to my 2005 Lightning C4. I've had the boat for a few months now and love it. The other week, we were hanging out at the springs, and my wife was sitting on the swim platform with the original rubber pad. When the pad gets wet, it easily stains and leaves marks on anything that touches it. She got up and saw her entire leg covered in black marking. It was at that moment I knew we needed to replace the pad. I immediately called my dealer (Transition Watersports) and got the ball rolling. They're a GatorStep dealer. They worked with me to get the design squared away. I ordered on a Thursday and had the new pad arrive Monday! Removal/application process. 1. Removal - I park my boat outside (for the time being). I called GatorStep and asked what the best route was to remove the existing pad. They said get it hot, pick a corner and pull. I did just that. The pad had been in the sun all day, so I picked a corner and bam.. the entire pad was off in less than 1 minute. 2. Cleaning - I picked up a plastic scraper and a bottle of Goo Gone. I squirted the entire bottle on the pad, saturated all the remaining adhesive and let it sit for 10 minutes. I came back with my scraper and went to town. 3. Prep - After I removed all the old adhesive, I took isopropyl alcohol and wiped everything down three times to ensure the surface would be best for adhesion. 4. New pad - Super simple process: Line up the new pad with the platform, peel a corner, stick down, ensure you're aligned and finish up. Nice thing about GatorStep is that, if you mess up, it's 3M backing, so you have a few chances to pull back up and re-apply without losing any adhesion. I went with the Centurion logo'd Cascade design in sharkfin gray with the scraped surface. Took it out the next day and couldn't be happier! Now, I need a swim platform cover to keep it protected. In all, I couldn't be happier. Word of caution... once you do the swim platform, you'll want to do the entire cockpit and bow... #ByeByeWallet

Yep tried everything when you fill the bow sack and get to much weight up front it knocks down wake height and takes away push from the wake. But hey go try for yourself that is half the fun

Interior accent LEDs are in and the job all but done. Only have interior to put back in but am going to pull the boat out and power wash the carpet prior to putting it back together. The thing I did seemed to build on the " I'm going to be doing this so I might as well do this". All this started with a simple stereo delete. Here's what I ended up doing: Replaced Dash Panels with laser cut aluminum $89.00 Painted a metallic grey w/ clear coat $12.00 All new switches and replaced the fuses with circuit breakers $128.00 Added 4 switches to the right side dash panel that previously had nothing there Removed stereo head unit and replaced with WS Bluetooth rocker switch $99.00 Added Red life form 6 underwater lights $512.00 Added Red LED accents under gunnels and under helm and under the closed bow (so it could have light not for accent).$16.00 Grand total $856.00 Yea I would never get that out of this boat but then again I don't see myself ever selling it as it is only worth maybe $10,000. But you will not see a better looking 24 year old centurion. Crap I just remembered that I have to add two cup holders to hide the holes in the dash from the previous stereo where the wires went to under the dash. Oh well it never ends

been using 87 octane in mine for 24 years and over 3000 hours. I don't put in any additives even over the winter. Never touched the motor or carb yet not even an alternator or starter has gone out. It has lost about 2 mph top end over the years and will one day be upgraded to I hope around 400 HP. Only item that I have replaced is plugs and wires every 5 years and water pump every two or three (still wish I had my metal bodied pump but unfortunately the first time it went out I replaces it with the plastic housing. Now I carry a water pump in my box under the bow with spare prop and puller and jumper cables
