New CenturionCrew.Com community CLASSIFIEDS for 2012

 

The Classifieds section has a new look for 2012. The new Classifieds can be accessed by Navigating to the top of the site and selecting the Classifieds tab, this will take Crew members to the new Classifieds interface. The Classifieds will no longer be at the bottom of the forum as in the past. Crew members may also access the five latest Classifieds on the site index page, navigate to the right side bar of the page below CenturionCrew Tube. The side bar interface allows Crew members to see the latest five Classified ads. Crew members can easily get to the index page on the site by clicking the CenturionCrew.Com logo at the top of the site.

 

The current Classifieds have been locked and will be removed on the 10th of April 2012. If members currently have an Ad in the Classifieds area, they are free to re-enter it in the new area. Any post that they would like to have on their Ad can be copied to the Questions tab on the new Classifieds Ad. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause Crew members, there is not a way to carry them over automatically. We have set the guidelines of the new Classifieds and they will be revisited as we move forward. If anyone has issues or suggestions please post them on this thread.

 

CLASSIFIEDS TERMS AND RULES

• One item per Ad, multiple items in a single Ad are not allowed. [All Members]
  
• All phone numbers, website or email addresses will be removed from Ads. [Centurion and Crew Members]
  
• Ads must list a price. [Centurion and Crew Members]
  
• Basic location of item must be given in ads.[All Members]
  
• The Classifieds are for members to sell personal items, they are not to be used for commercial gain. If you are a business and interested in advertising on the site, please contact the CrewAdmin. [All Members]
  
• Crew Members should use the Questions Tab below the item to ask questions. [All Members]
  
• Contact Advertiser Directly link should only be used to make an offer on the item. [All Members]
  
• Do not create ads to promote a link from Ebay, Craigslist, etc. these ads will be removed. [All Members]
  
• Refrain from making any negative remarks about ads, contact the seller or CrewAdmin by PM if there is an issue. [All Members]
  
• Once an item has sold please close the ad and do not renew it. [All Members]
  

CENTURION Supporting Members can place free unlimited 30 day ads, each Ad can be renewed for 30 days with a maximum of 11 renewals or one year total. Ads from this member group may only be placed in the Centurion Member Section.

 

 

CREW Members pay $2.00 for a 30 day Ad, each Ad can be renewed for 30 days with a maximum of 11 renewals or one year total. Ads from this member group may only be placed in the Centurion Member Section. The CREW member Classifieds will be FREE until the 10th of April 2012 on the 11th of April, each Ad will cost $2.00 for a one year Ad.

 

CENTURION DEALER Supporting Members can place unlimited free Centurion Boat ads in their section. Ads last for 30 days, each Ad can be renewed for 30 days with a maximum of 11 renewals or one year total. Ads from this member group may only be placed in their area of the Centurion Dealer Section. To post in the dealer area, you must be a Centurion Dealer member to upgrade or join the site as a Centurion Dealer please visit this LINK.

How to use the new Classifieds:

Members will have several ways to access the new Classifieds, several are outlined in the beginning of the thread.

To view the new Classifieds a member can either look at the five latest Classifieds on the site bar of the index page.

 

Members can view a complete list of new Classifieds by clicking on View New Content on the right hand side of the upper tool bar, which will bring them to the New content page.

 

At the New content page select Classifieds, then select from the menu below it which time frame they would like to view the latest ads.

 

At any point in the Classifieds, a member can Subscribe (Item-1) to a section of the Classified or a individual Ad by clicking on the Subscribe option. Members can also navigate in the Classifieds by selecting the different links (Item-2) at the top of the Classifieds. Members may also navigate through the Classifieds with the menu (Item-3) at the upper left side Classifieds. The Classifieds are divided into two sections, Centurion Member ads and Centurion Dealer ads. The screen shot above shows all ads from both Centurion Members and Centurion Dealers.

 

Clicking on the Centurion Members link will show all ads submitted by all Centurions and Crew members. There are several navigation options below the Classifieds Terms and Rules area on the blue menu bar shown above.

 

Clicking on the Centurion Dealers link will take members to the Centurion Dealer ad area. The first tier of the Centurion Dealer section is broken down by United States and Canada dealers, the member decides which region they are interested in and clicks on the appropriate link.

 

Each region is broken down by the dealers name, see example above.

 

Members can create an Ad by click on the Add an Advert link anywhere in the Classifieds.

 

After clicking on the Add an Advert link members will be required to select a Category, Centurion and Crew members must select the Centurion Members category and Centurion Dealers must select the appropriate dealer area under the Centurion Dealers area.

 

The example above is for an Ad to be placed in the Centurion Members area, the same applies to Centurion Dealers along with six areas of information about the boat they are listing. If the required information is not available the dealer should enter N/A in the required field.

 

Below the text field is the area to Attach Files (photos) of the item in the Ad by selecting Choose Files (Item-1). For now members can add as many pictures as needed to represent the item. We ask that members use a maximum of 20 photos per Ad, each photo no larger that 800x600. Once the files have been chosen, the member will click Open and the files will be added to the Ad.

 

Next members will need to enter a Price for the item in the Ad. Centurion and Crew members can then select the Advert Type by selecting the appropriate radial button as shown above. Centurion Dealers will only be able to select Boat for Sale.

 

Members should proof their Ad and select Add Advert to make it available to the CCC Community.

 

Once an Ad has been placed, members can access them by clicking on their member name at the top left side of the site and select Manage Classifieds.

 

This will take members to their My Classifieds area where they can review the Active Adverts and Expired Adverts they have submitted to the Classifieds. This is the area that a member should visit to close an Ad for a item that has sold.
