Well it started a few days ago, Tica Tica Tica..... I guess I am one of the lucky folks that got a bad gasket in thier 330 Scorpion 87hrs....

I hope the shop dosen't take too long with it, we are on holidays in two weeks.

Damn, at least it's only a 45 minute job... When they get to it...

Yep,

But they shut down Atlantis and are doing everything through Shipwreck so......

My sales guy promised me front of the line service... we will see how good he is.

Would my warranty be toast if I did it myself?

45 may be a stretch, is was probably closer to 30-35 - I showed up at the shop as they were starting it to hear the tic-tic... knew right away it was the gasket - We went for a beer run and came back, and they were wrapping up..

Silver Gasket in the red box, not sure how much parts are, but can't be much

My Port side went last year while I was down in Idaho. Shop said they could get me in in a week, so I bought the gasket for 10-15 dollars and changed it right at the dock. Piece of cake and only took me about 1 hour and that was including cleanup. Back surfing in no time..

Mine was starboard...80ish hours. Happened right after I upped the ballast to 2300lbs. Covered under warranty.

Anyone got a part number for the gaskets? apparently it's too hard to look up the other way at a few local (un-mentioned) shops :realmad:

doing this same gasket search for a neighbors boat. The Mecruiser part number is 27-33395 I am still trying to cross reference it to something that I can get from my local parts place.

hello - reg the tic noise - its the exhaust manifold - they always go for some reason - if you run your hand along side the manifold you can feel the puffing, but be careful not to get burnt on the manifold - we carry a tork wrench with us just to check the bolts once in a while. You can

get some good gaskets at Napa, they actually carry them! there a tad bit thicker - buy some gasket glue too. I have it down to 18min - saves you the trouble of going to the dealer.

cheers, jeff
