  4. Looking for some help. Just bought a brand new Fi23 with 450 motor and surfing at 5500ft in elevation. It has the high alt prop 16x13. the boat has the all the additional Plug an Play Ballast. This boat will not get to surf speed with two 200lb men and two 120 lb women and full Ballast. I have to dump the two Bow tanks and about 30% of the Ram fill to get to 10.8 MPH. Is this normal?? I would think this boat should be able to surf with full ballast.?? Right?? Should I be looking for a new Prop? I would think the 450 should be plenty of power but its not getting us there....My dealer is NO HELP! Very upsetting! Any info would be much appreciated! Sold my X35 MC to buy this boat. I have Lots of surf experience in other boats, just new to Centurion.
  5. I wanted to start a thread for Fi21 owners who have upgraded their stock prop. I've got a 2018 Fi21 with the PCM L96 (409) engine. My stock prop is the ACME 1235 (14.5x14.25). At sea level, I'm seeing about 4100-4300 RPM surfing w/ full ballast & about 10.5-11mph. Top speed is about 33-34 at 4900 RPM. Also, the holeshot is just fine. Anyone gone with a bigger prop to get the RPMs down? Please share your actual experience.
  6. I Just picked up a 1991 Centurion Falcon open bow I bent the prop shaft and can't find any information on the correct size shaft I need there are a ton of falcon shafts out there but none of them match what I measured which is 51"L X 1" o.d I have never heard of a 1" o.d shaft every falcon shaft online ebay etc. are all 1" 1/8 so any help out there as to the size I need or locating a new or used shaft would greatly be appreciated!

  8. The pictures show my problem... It is an ACME 817 prop. The boat was used mostly in a high altitude Lake Tahoe previously. So I am looking at a more suitable placement for wakesurfing at Lake Berryessa. Any input on what others are running or a guide on which prop to buy. Plan on doing the install myself so if there are any gotchas id like to hear about them. Also there seems to be wear through the gel coat directly above the prop on the boat. Was wondering if anyone had any info on why that happened and how to fix it. I don't know if it happened while I was chomping up the lake bottom or previously. I am also pretty sure that the prop was bent at a low rpm so I doubt there is any damage to the shaft as they were low powered prop strikes. Does that make sense to everyone else? As always thanks for any info. This site and forum rocks and all its members are great, happy to be a part of the community. -B
