  1. What's everyone's experience with the newer Centurion boat's gel coat when it comes to blisters on the hull? I'm considering buying a new or fairly-new model Ri230 (2020-2023), and I will be leaving it in lake water in the Seattle area for 5-6 months a year. I know a lot of the older Centurion boats got blisters...is this still an issue for the newer boats? The reason I ask...my moorage space doesn't allow boat lifts....so I'm stuck in the water. :-( Thanks. dB

  3. We have a 2010 Centurion Enzo 240SV and love it! But the speed control has never worked very well. It never locks in on a speed, but hovers around a speed (going one mile under or over) as long as you constantly tweak the throttle. We mainly surf...so we're going between 10-11 MPH. We keep our boat in the water on a lake during the summer, and I was wondering if people with older boats like mine have successfully upgraded their speed control systems (and what might be entailed -- do I need to take the boat out of the water?). My friend has an AXIS and the speed control locks in perfectly. You give it gas and it just works. I'm hoping to find something like that. Thanks. Don
  4. Hi everyone. I have a 2010 Centurion Enzo 240SV and have been a FAE user for the past 7+ years. I love how it redirects the exhaust away from the surfer (and the boat is noticeably quieter). But like some of you, my bolts have sheared off and I now need to reinstall the unit. Larry at FAE is great to work with for troubleshooting, and he has discussed the idea of a "Through the hull" installation. This would require that I disconnect and remove the old exhaust tip and flapper and install a revised version of my FAE that has a flapper and goes all the way through the hull and hooks into the exhaust rubber hoses inside the boat. Here's a video of the installation on a Nautique: My 2010 Enzo 240SV is in storage right now so I can't be sure how feasible this is (i.e., how much room I'll have inside the rear of the boat to get my body and hands in position to do this), so I was wondering if any of you have tried this yet.   6. Hi Volzalum! I saw you reply to DarksideR who lost a Vault cap. The same thing happened to me - I got home and the Vault cap was gone. And... I can't find any Vault replacements near me in the Seattle area. I can order one online, but I'm curious if I can merely use a typical bearing buddy cap and some marine grease. Or will that contaminate the "hybrid" oil in my axel that the Vault was providing? Thanks. Donnie
  7. Hi Kevin. Reviving an old post here. I have a 2010 Enzo 240SV, and I'm thinking that I don't have the GPS system on mine, but I may be wrong. I don't have a puck mounted on the top of the fiberglass...would it be mounted under the dash? The boat is moored at the lake so I can't go out there right now and look. I know i have a paddle wheel on the hull of my boat...and I have a very hard time keeping a consistent speed when surfing...it varies +/- one to two miles/hour which makes it hard to lock in a consistent surf wave.   8. Hey Troy. I have a Centurion display (see the first photo), and it looks like the ZeroOff needs to use a round 3 1/2" or 5" dedicated display - it can't feed into the Centurion display. I emailed the tech at ZeroOff and he is pretty confident that the wires will hook up and I'll be able to use the existing display for water temp, gas, ballast, trim tab, engine temp, oil pressure, etc. - so it will show everything but the speed, and then I'd need to install a 3 1/2" round display for the GPS system. I'm thinking I would need to have some custom metal work done for the area to the right of the steering wheel, making a 3 1/2" hole to the right of the rocker switches. Have you (or anyone you know) hooked up a ZeroOff control? Thanks. Don
  9. Thanks Troy! I called Perfect Pass today, and they said that ZeroGPS is the company that made the cruise control for the 2010 Centurion Enzo (with the PCM 409 engine). So I'm trying to track that down. Thanks for getting back to me! Don
  10. We have a 2010 Centurion Enzo SV240 and love it! We've always been able to get a great regular (port) side wave, but have had trouble getting a goofy wave until we got a Mission Delta wakeshaper. We still list the boat when we use the Mission Delta (so we fill the starboard enzo sack and center tank, and move all of our lead to the starboard side), and we get a great wave that has a lot of push. But...we get an annoying spray from the swim platform that we'd like to remedy. How have others with older Enzos dealt with this? Thanks. Don

  13. I had a well-respected gel-coat repair shop work on my 2010 Enzo to repair a 1"x 6" scratch. I gave them my hull number and they worked with Centurion to get the correct color, and then had Spectrum make the gel coat. However, the final dried/sanded/buffed color is lighter than the surrounding gel coat. I'm not sure what to do. They said that it's possible Centurion's color is not accurate...that the original boat color may have been poured at the end of the week and that the workers may have added a little extra gel coat/coloring to the final batch. Or it's possible that someone at Spectrum didn't mix the colors correctly. They just don't know. They said they'd be happy to take another crack at it at the end of the season for free (since I'm trying to get the boat into the water now). But I know they are going to want to be paid now for the work they did. I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to stiff anyone, and I know the shop did a lot of work to try to make the boat look good. Should Centurion stand behind their colors? Spectrum? Any ideas?

    WakeDoc - The color code is: 991-LX-113, and the color is "Too Blue". Thanks for the advice, InfinitySurf. The repair shop is working with Spectrum to figure out the color issue, and I have mail into Centurion.

  16. I need some help with my Pro-Vision screen. I tried to start my boat up yesterday, but instead of immediately turning over, the engine was silent and I heard a loud beep from the boat. I turned the battery by-pass switch on and then back off, and then it started up, but my Pro-Vision wouldn’t come into focus – it was just a blue screen. I spent a while tinkering around and reading the Crew help forums, taking the Provision unit out of the dash and ensuring all of the connections were seated properly. But still no luck beyond the blue screen. I could start up the boat, drive it, but I couldn’t see the speedometer, speed control, etc. Just a blue screen. I turned the battery by-pass switch on and then off quickly, and all of a sudden the ProVision came back on – and I was able to operate the boat with the Provision screen and all of the controls! So I drove around a bit, and then turned the engine off and back on and the ProVision was still working. But then a little bit later I tried to start the boat again and the provision was blue-screening. I played with the battery by-pass switch and it came back on. Any idea what’s going on? I have a 2010 Enzo 240SV with two batteries. Thanks. Don
  17. So I picked up two 24DC Interstate Marine Deep Cycle batteries at Costco and brought them to the boat. Did the same test before installing them -- turned key to "on" and got the blue screen, then started the engine and still got the blue screen. Then swapped out the batteries (putting in the Interstate) and the Provision screen worked! I didn’t have time to take the boat out for a spin – I’m hoping to do that next week. So - naturally I'm thanking all of you for recommending I change out the batteries. For sanity's sake, I brought my old batteries to Napa auto parts to get them tested, and they BOTH tested "good". Napa said I should keep them and continue using them. So I'm now perplexed. The old batteries are Optima 8006-006 34M BlueTop Marine Starting Batteries….and I’m wondering if it was really something other than the batteries – maybe the cable connection to the battery was not tight?

I wasn't sure if there's a standard size for Centurion Enzo's. Mine is a 2010 240SV. Costco has the Interstate 24DC and the 27DC, so I'm assuming that's a good brand. Thanks. Don
  19. Thanks Dr. Nate! I didn't think about the batteries being low/going dead. I always drip-charge them during the winter, but it's quite possible that's the problem. They are roughly 5-6 years old. I don't recall what the volts were reading while underway...I'll need to check that next time. What range should the volts be reading while underway? How many years should a marine battery last? Thanks.
  20. Do you store your boat for the winter WITH or WITHOUT the seat cushions? I live in the Seattle area and have typically taken my seat cushions out of the boat and put them in my attic before taking the boat to an off-site heated storage barn. I've done this for the past 5-6 years to ensure great air-flow in the boat and prevent mold. Is this overkill? What do you do?
  21. I have a 2010 Enzo (SV 240), and I’ve traditionally listed the boat and gotten a killer port-side wave, but I could never get a good goofy wave. So I have been trying the Mission Delta, and I need help. I tried the Delta with all of the weight evenly distributed, but found that the device works better on my boat with some listing. With listing, I can get a pretty good goofy wave but I need to go 13.6 mph to get the wave to clean up. It’s long, but I have to be full-throttle on the surfboard to keep up with the wave. My regular-side wave shapes up nicely at 11.2 mph. Questions: Has anyone had great success surfing the goofy side using the Delta (assuming you have an Enzo with the standard prop rotation)? If so, how do you set the boat up? Have you found more luck with one of the other suction cup devices? Do you put lead in the rear storage compartments (I used to do this before I started trying the Delta) Do you have any photos of your wave? Here’s my setup to surf the goofy side: Bow: 590 lbs (350lbs sac and 240lbs lead evenly distributed) Center tank: full Rear storage: 1400lb Enzo sacks on each side – 100% full on goofy (starboard) side, 70% full on port side. Listing weight: 720 lbs lead on goofy side (360lbs on rear seat on goofy side, 360lbs lead behind driver’s seat) Thanks!
