  1. I love the roar of my boat when it is idling but I didn't care for the overly loud exhaust when i was cruising down the lake. By the end of the day my crew and i were all def between the music and the exhaust. I have seen many posts on this topic but I didn't see one this inexpensive so i figured i would share. I installed these in my 4" exhaust tubes going from the Sideswipe valve to the exhaust tip. It took me about 30 minutes per side and cost me ~$100 with shipping. I saw no loss in power the boat is somewhat quieter going down the lake but the real magic happens when I switch my exhaust to one side. It almost goes silent. A bit like captains call. I saw almost no reduction in idle sound with both exhaust ports open. Perfect for me. Here are the silencers I installed: http://www.cpperformance.com/p-12622-4-slip-in-silencer.aspx Here are some pictures of my install. Basically came down to drilling one hole in the exhaust tube to hold the silencer in place. Hardest part was taking the tubes out. Came down to brute strength and ignorance.
  2. Hi everyone. I have a 2010 Centurion Enzo 240SV and have been a FAE user for the past 7+ years. I love how it redirects the exhaust away from the surfer (and the boat is noticeably quieter). But like some of you, my bolts have sheared off and I now need to reinstall the unit. Larry at FAE is great to work with for troubleshooting, and he has discussed the idea of a "Through the hull" installation. This would require that I disconnect and remove the old exhaust tip and flapper and install a revised version of my FAE that has a flapper and goes all the way through the hull and hooks into the exhaust rubber hoses inside the boat. Here's a video of the installation on a Nautique: My 2010 Enzo 240SV is in storage right now so I can't be sure how feasible this is (i.e., how much room I'll have inside the rear of the boat to get my body and hands in position to do this), so I was wondering if any of you have tried this yet. Thanks. Donnie

  4. New member here but longtime lurker. Bought a 2015 Enzo fs33 about 3 years ago it's been a great boat for our family and I love it. A few questions from you experts: 1. Per the image attached I don't have a water exhaust pipe... I've been reading about FAE's etc. Really I think I want to get something here cause it looks cool but more importantly the health of the people on the back of the boat and the rider from emmisions. I don't need the best but I want the "best practice" and best bang for buck to solve the issue. 2. The port side surf has always been far superior to the starboard side... I've tried it all, settings, weight, water etc. The port side can get huge and a beautiful curl the starboard side has less push and height and minimal curl. Could the FAE or exhaust system potentially help this? Any other suggestions to try? 3. A few if my toggle switches have busted in the dash. Any recommendations on where to buy new ones (dealer said they don't carry them for older boats and even if they did they would probably cost a fortune)..? Thanks everybody I'll be attentive to your comments or questions! Jason
  5. Has anyone put this on? 2016 enzo single exhaust. "Eddie marine flanged exhaust". Ya'll fixed a recent issue for us, thanks. So we were on the lake for 5 days and the port side ramfill exit motor failed, looks like there is a ramfill exit gate and a ramfill enter gate, this is the exit gate, in the back behind the engine. It was stuck open, so we were listing, because whenever we would stop it would fill up. And as we drove away it would drain out. We manually closed the gate to surf and that worked fine while we were out there, but that's a pain, obviously. Anyway, is it the little motor? Its the Valtera gate system, not drainmaster. It looks like it would be easy to replace the little motor. Any links to a new one? or is there a way to fix the old one? JB
  6. Wondering if it's worth buying centurions quiet tip exhaust to reduce noise and what is the best surfing prop for a 2014 sv244 thk
  7. I just purchased a 2015 Sv233 this year with a 450 pcm. I have been in boating for many years and really liked all the new technology, fit and finish that Centurion had added in the last few years. Every year we send a week on Lake Powell using the boat 8 hours a day. At the end of the week every-bodies head was ringing and the $6500 downfire sound system we paid for was wasted. I tried a FAE, but didn't like the spray of the wake. I found a company called GGB out of Canada, they make a insert for a 4" exhaust which slipped right into the stainless steel tube ( which is a empty tube) located in the exhaust hose before the exit flapper inside the boat. I purchased a pair of 8.5 inch inserts, but found i only need one installed. The boat retains the stock look, but the noise is greatly reduced. I lost about 100 rpm on the top end, which was more than acceptable to me for the noise reduction. They also make a 5.5 inch insert which might not effect the rpm, but might be a bit louder. Just thought all those out there struggling with how loud these boats are might want another option! I also have an extra 8.5 insert if someone would like to pick it up from me, $90. Love the boat and now my ears aren't ringing!
  8. Anyone know where I can get the new sideswipe baffles that are supposed to reduce noise? Bakes used to carry them but they have been out of stock forever. I asked my boat dealer and he said Centurion doesn't make them, they are aftermarket and he doesn't know where to get them. Any idea where I can find them?
