Enzo SV220 slipping
mike1219 posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Hello, I own a 2008 Enzo SV 220. Recently I have been having an issue with the boat slipping under a load (surfing) or accelerating hard. The engine compartment recently had quite a bit of water in it. We had a big rain storm and for some reason the bilge was not pumping out any water? From looking at posts on this site sounds like I may have water in the transmission oil and/or the Vdrive. Does my boat have a Vdrive and a transmission. The boat is 3 hours away and I need to pick up fluids in the city here. Can some body let me know what transmission oil I need and what fluid for the Vdrive? (Walter). Am I on the right track here. Is this actually my issue? Boat only has 120 hrs. Thanks for responses. Mike- 1 reply

Hello Everyone, My Wetsounds Rev 8x's just arrived. Im looking to install them on my Evolution tower. I realized the tower has 2 bolt holes than a wire hole. The speakers came set up with a wire hole in between the 2 bolt holes. The guys at wetsounds said that these cans would bolt directly onto the lower mounting location on my Evo tower. I am just wondering how to get the speaker set up to mount them to my tower. There's the plate inside I'm not sure how to set up? If some one has installed these on an Evo tower and could share how they went about mounting them that would be awesome! Thanks, Mike

Yeah i posted that topic as well but didnt really have any answers that explained how people have mounted them on evo towers in the past!

Hello, My Rev 8x's just arrive yesterday! I just started to take them apart and getting the mounting brackets set up right. I need to change the wire to run through the front hole instead of the middle hole like it comes. Because on the evo tower the first hole is for wire than the next two are mounting holes. I know people have mounted using the middle and last hole and routed the wire through the first hole i am just wondering how to do this? I cant seem to find a way how? Thanks Mike

Yeah I may land up having to do that but if there is any other solutions I would of course prefer that

I have run into the problem where i can't get the plastic female plastic butt connector through the first hole. Do you have to cut wires to get it through? As well what do you do with the mounting bracket inside the speaker pod. Do you move it forward so the back hole the bolt doesnt even hit the bracket and the middle one the bolt just goes through the big hole on the bracket? And then do you have to drill a new hole in the bracket to get the wires through? Thanks, Mike

Thinking about buying a pair of either pro60x's or a pair of icon 8's. I was wondering which speaker would give me better performance. Generally we do a lot of surfing with a little bit of wake boarding. From my understanding the pro60x is an HLCD and the Icon 8 is just a coaxial. So I'm assuming the pro60x could be heard from farther away. Let me know what you guys think is better. Thanks, Mike

Hello, I am looking for someone wanting to sell a pair of Wet Sound Rev 8's with the x-mount. I have an evolution tower and would like to buy a pair of used ones because buying new directly from Wet Sounds is upwards of $1000 and i don't have that kind of money right now to throw at the boat. But i would still love to have that Wet Sound performance. Reply if you are selling and gimme a price i am eager! Thanks Mike

Do you know of any solution to the different mounting hole spaces. Like the tops are probably a half inch narrower than the bottom holes.
-
And no both of there locations are in BC and i live in manitoba

I live here!

Another question Wake doc might know the answer to this. If i decided to put pro 80s on the tower right now than in a year or two decide to throw a pair of rev 8's on will all that speaker fit. I know they might overlap a bit but just wondering if they will fit on the factory mounting locations without hitting each other
-
You can buy a new set of Pro 80's from wet sounds directly for $700 haha
-
My mounting holes on my evo tower differ between the top and lower mounting locations. After researching i came across the conclusion that the lower mounts will accommodate any x version speaker while the upper mounts you need to buy bracket (which wet sounds USED to make) to mount a regular version of the can onto.

Would also consider a pair of Icon 8's if any one has

Hey Nick, thanks but i am really leaning towards the Rev 8's because they are smaller than the pro 80's and with my evo tower i already have limited head room before tower speakers. but thanks for the offer. Thanks for the idea avalanche Wylie i am up in canada and there is no local dealers or even any dealers that are close i would love to go that route if i could

It wouldn't have to do with a low charged battery by any chance . Because all the gauges work on the tach rpm, I believe oil and one other. -
