Salt water package for 2010 centurions?

Recommended Posts

What exactly does the salt water packages on the 2010 models include?

How does the closed cooling kit work? Is it worth getting if the boat is going to be used in salt water?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think there are two kits. One is just a flush kit that can be added to any boat. The other kit includes the flush kit plus, zinc anodes on the rudder, shaft, bennett trim tab, and a big block on the transom of the boat.

As for closed cooling, I would say it is highly recommended for any boat that is in salt or brackish water. I saw on the MSRP sheet that WakeDoc posted earlier this year that it was available as a option on the EX343 but was standard on the ZR409.

If I was going to use my boat in Salt Water or even brackish water I would get the full Salt Water Option and also the Closed Cooling. You will still have to flush out the heat exchanger and the Exhaust Manifolds because the raw water still goes through them but it is not in your engine block. By the way you will still have to winterize it because of the water in the heat exchanger and the manifolds.
