  1. Darksider was FAE able to create a solution for you? My wife has asked me to look into putting an FAE on for this summer and I'm not too keen on it if it is not 100%. That, and with the double edge sword trim tab it will stick out a ways. Really wish we could buy the RI stinger exhaust plate and tubing. Don't see why that setup wouldn't work. I would gladly pay a few more dollars to Fineline for that setup. maybe it is as easy as buying the rubber exhaust tube from Fineline, and then fabricating a plate.
  2. S238 tow vehicles

I initially pulled our S238 with a 2013 1500 5.3L Silverado. Locally to the lake 15km each way and around town was fine with the S238. Braking was fine and with the grade braking of the truck there was never a concern stopping. We live with hills and mountains surrounding us, so it worked in the RPM band. Longer mountain trips you needed to hit a gas station along the way. If you got out of the power band on a steep section due to traffic, you spent the rest of the climb creeping. It was light on the open highway and you could feel the wind gusts trying to push it with the 238. The 3500 is just so much nicer to tow with, and like you, I use mine as a commuter, so was very concerned about giving up my 1500.
  3. S238 tow vehicles

H20king's is an S238, as is mine above.
  4. A 10' wide door would be better, or opt for a single 16' or 18' wide and try for 10' height. The 9' wide doors, you will likely have to remove your racks, even with the tower folded. And you need to back the trailer in straight as the boat beam and trailer axle width are 8'-6". The trailer with the guide posts is likely over 9'. Our trailer is 9'-4" wide give or take with those on. A 9' wide door is giving you less than 9' when you factor trim boards.
  5. Towing with Toyota Highlander

You won't want to see the price of trucks in Canada. My 1500 Silverado could tow pretty reasonably, and well within tow limits. It failed on payload. I swayed back and forth on upgrading to a 3500 Duramax, but after the first pull knew we made the right choice. No sway from wind, and endless engine braking and torque for hills. 7 months of the year it is unnecessary for me, but it costs me the same to run in diesel as the gas truck did. Including the def fluid. The resale will be better as well, unless it hits some major malfunction usually tied to emissions.
  6. My wife and I are around the same weights as you, As well as our 2 teenage boys. It is generally the 4 of us on the boat. We have a 2016 and run Sumo 850's in the locker and 150 lbs of lead under each bag. We fill hard tanks 100%, Rear bags 100%, Center hard tank 100% and 25% in the bow typically. Trim is 20 to 50%. Surf tab 75 - 100%. We also bleed a little from the opposite hard tank to clean up the wave.
  7. What is the best remedy to stop the PNP rear bags from draining out the vent line on our S238? The vent lines are run to opposite sides, but they drain out the side when underway. After a few runs the bag is half empty. It has gotten much worse with the larger bags versus the stock bags. Add a Check Valve close to the thru hull port? Add ball valves? I have several check valves at home, so that seems like the easiest solution. But the Best solution s preferable.
  8. Bags Self Draining

Our 2016 came with green impellers. I purchased 4 new green in the summer to swap them out next spring. Maybe I'll grab a few orange as well and do a comparison test.
  9. New boat

    Nice looking boat.
  10. Congratulations DarksideR. Not too many World Champions from Maple Ridge.
  11. New boat

Congratulations. Definitely post up the new ride.
  12. New boat

I would see about upgraded PNP bags. maybe first 25 hour service included, or winterization. Or like Mfaso mentioned, a few life jackets, fire extinguisher, ropes... Once you surf or Wakeboard though, the hours spent just floating and swimming seem to get fewer and fewer. Surfing is a pretty social activity right behind the boat, so you definitely get the family time and memories.
  13. We have a '16 as well. Last year it was finicky to get consistent wakes when dealing with different wind and chop conditions. This year we went to 850lb rear bags, and 160 lbs of lead in each locker and it made a huge difference in consistency. Our crew is typically 4 of us. Lately everything in the rear full, center tank full, and bow weight depends on crew, but anywhere from 50 to 75%. Trim tab from 20 to 70% depending on how they want the height. We bleed off a couple seconds of opposite quickfill to clean the face up if needed. Keeps us happy out there for now.
  14. Bags Self Draining

Rubber corks work great in the sides. No more puking water. Our bags lose water out the pumps though, so that means time to change the impellers.
  15. 2016 S238 Supreme owners manual

On our last boats, we just ended up downloading manuals for all the different equipment and keeping it on a usb drive. Example, Powermania battery charger, perko switch, wetsounds amps, sub and speakers, valterra valves, sherwood bilge pump, heater, all the boatmate trailer components, such as axle, winch.
  16. No regrets

On our 2016 we switched from paddlewheel to a Nautic Logic GPS. Plug and play, and if we need the paddlewheel input back, the plug is easily reached under the rear bench seat. 1 minute tops to swap plugs.
  17. We ordered ours May 26, 2016, snuck in a quick spray date with dealer pull and had the boat in our hands July 2nd, 2016. We have been very happy with ours. I tightened up a few screws here and there, but no issues that would deter me from buying another Supreme or Centurion by any means. When we compared this boat against several other brands, the fit, finish and quality was hands down way above the rest.
  18. Towing with Toyota Highlander

I doubt you would enjoy towing as much. The Toyouta will have less weight, less wheelbase, and less torque.
  19. Ordered an Fi23 !

    Congratulations.
  20. Fi23 first impressions

    I think this 257 with 5 hours is $135K USD http://extremeboatsports.com/product/boats/2017-centurion-ri-237/ https://www.onlyinboards.com/2017-Centurion-RI-257-Loaded-for-sale-Sumas-Washington-67847.aspx
  21. Surf rpm's

I noticed that on ours the other night as well.
  22. Bags Self Draining

Puke out the side vents while stationary and underway. Stuck corks in them last night. No loss of water, and kept a great wave both sides all night. Middle rear Hole on Starboard, Rear Hole On Port.
  23. That's bad. Have you tried setting it in direct sunlight for a few days?.
  24. Bags Self Draining

That sucks DarksideR. Hopefully the newer service manager there gets on top of it for you. You might need to remind him. We surf level, with some lean. With the factory Fly High, they would puke out the sides a little, but with the bigger bags they definitely flow out the sides. Just getting in and out off the swim platform they dump out. I think I need to convince the wife we need a few tequila nights.
