RHunt is a crazy dude, he and his family stayed and weathered out the storm. They had some damage but are all okay also. I know his SV233 is just fine also

I say keep the truck until it dies and invest the money. A conservative investment will average around 6% a year, you'll make almost $1500 in three years at that rate, but probably do better with something more aggressive putting you closer to 10K+ at 3 years versus the depreciation of a vehicle that will leave you with negative money. My disability money from the VA goes straight to investment without a second thought.

We have seen this issue more and more with taller, larger ballast sacs. First step is isolating which plumbing circuit the passive draining is occurring through. Depending on the pump system, it could fill, drain, vent or any combo of them. Once you isolate the offending circuit, the fix depends on the pump system, ballast layout and how the boat is uses. Crossing the vents and drain lines work for a listed surf boat, but not for those evenly weighted and using a surf apparatus. Check valves can work, again depending on other factors. Manual valves can certainly stock passive draining, but now you no longer have an automated ballast system. id prefer to not use them. Vented loops can work, however, in a vent line application, a vented loop would put the vent line dipping well below the top of the sac. This can create venting issue.

We're in Corpus Christi and we dodged a bullet. We boarded up the house Thursday morning and headed to Pleasanton to ride out the storm. We came home Saturday and were surprised to see that we had power at the house. Only damage was part of my back fence that needed repair anyway. Lots of tree limbs and leaves around, but everything is A OK. Boat barn took some damage but my unit is fine and boat is high and dry. May not hear from Houston people for awhile, those poor people

What's up with the new "surf" logo on the RI's?!? That black out S is pretty bad. I've seen two boats already with this new logo. ?
