I nominate wheels to become the next new supporting member! Nate it's unfortunate in your case that they changed there policy but these guys are right about not being able to get parts direct. I'd say call around and see who will take your hull number down and part you need, then what ever dealer is prompt on getting back to you about it go with them. Then plan on using them from there on out.

My son just got a new board, the Phase 5 Race. I just posted about it in the equipment section, but had to post it up here. This video was early on when he was just learning it but it was fun to see him progress so fast! I think he's officially better than me. He needs sponsors

Well I pulled the trigger and wanted to update this thread with a couple of pictures. Hopefully I will have some video coming as well. I bought a last year's model at BoardCO and they are awesome to deal with. They have a ride and return policy, too, by the way, which is kind of unheard of in my opinion. Anyway, my son fell in love with the Race. He said it was faster and more responsive than what he was used to and it was fun to watch him progress his riding in one outing! He weighs 140 lbs. and P5 says the Race is good for up to about 165, so he'll be good for a couple years. Stoked Dad here!

I know where Nate is coming from.....for those of us that have owned Centurions for a while we could always call Shell and get a part or some help with something. Can't tell you how many times she has helped me out in the past. Having said that companies must grow to survive and that is what has happened to Centurion. I'm blessed to have an awesome dealer in Hillside. If my closest dealer was 7 hours away and was not responsive I would be upset too. I firmly believe dealer choice is almost as important as the boat especially if you are not a DIY guy like me.

So wierd... I wanna know what was going on here. I suppose you could unlatch the fill and drain valves and operate them all manually... make sure the fills are closed get up on plane and open the dumps in the back.. close them after a minute or so and then see what happens. That would eliminate any electronic operation possibly causing this.

Not completely accurate. For Chrysler parts, you have Mopar.com. I know there are others. Having said that, there are reasons for having a dealer network. It was nice to be able to call the factory and save time and maybe a little money going direct. The factory still is taking the order and shipping out the part. Whether it's to the dealer or the end customer, it's still relatively the same amount of work. To give you an example, I called the dealer I bought my boat from to order some gelcoat last Friday. Any guess as to whether I've received a call back yet?

Well I was told by Fineline that the newest dealer to me now is Ski Dock in Austin, Texas. I called them today to inquire about parts and they confirmed that they have just become a Centurion Dealer, literally weeks ago. I assume they are switching from Tige, which they have carried for quite some time. It's still about a 5 hour drive from me, but I'm excited to see what they will do with the line and it will be good to see more Centurions in Central/South Texas. Not to mention if I need something done other than service.

I have the Hook 4 installed in my boat. The transducer that came in the box could be mounted either externally or in the bilge shooting through the hull. Mine is in the bilge shooting through the hull on the driver's side. The key is getting it to sit level on a bed of marine epoxy. My cousin did the install for me since he had done it before. I flush mounted the unit in the dash. Very clean. Works great.

I treat these boats just like my computer. If something's not working correctly, reboot!

To me the Ri237 compares very well with M235 and G23, the 257 is in a class by itself. To me the FI is like the GS series from Nautique. Very nice boats, but your not going to mistake a G for a GS. Same thing i don't think you will mistake a Fi23 for Ri237.

We are really excited about the Fi23 because a lot of people "think" they need a 23 foot boat. A lot of people think the Ri217 is too small (before they actually see it and climb in it) and the Fi23 will help with that a bit. As issue we run into when selling Centurions is that people compare 23 foot boats directly across without accounting for the major differences in size. We have customers that compare the Ri237 against the G23 (which is all good) but also guys that compare it against a Malibu 23LSV or a MasterCraft XT23 - both of which are no where near the size of the Ri237 and are arguably smaller boats than the Ri217. In that situation the "I can get a Malibu 23LSV for this much less" gets really frustrating when comparing against a Ri237 and the Fi23 will help with that a lot.

Thanks my man! This may have been exactly my problem! We're headed out for a 5 day weekend on the lake this weekend, so if it happens again that'll be the first thing I check!! Since we had this problem on the goofy side, that would mean it's my port valve that may be hanging up.

Skipped out of work on Friday for a great time and to roll 200. This should have happened two months ago but Doctors just do not know what fun is. Could not have asked for a better day on the water. Also got another person up for the first time and hooked on surfing. Smiles from ear to ear.

chowder.....I feel for you man.....more than your share of issues with your new boat.

We created our first surf bowl yesterday. Centurion FS44 with regular wave and Supreme S238 with goofy wave. We were running about 10.3 mph gps upstream so about 12 mph water speed. The wind and chop had picked up so they kept the ropes for this attempt. Was really fun.

Ok - talking about CATS is a bit tricky as it is a variable that factors in with other variables that will change the ultimate outcome. What I mean by that is that CATS will have a different impact on +10 setting when your quicksurf is set to 60 than if your quicksurf is set to 70. In addition, CATS has a different impact if you are running at 11.5 mph vs. running at 10.6 mph. Because of that it is hard to say "you want CATS at -10 on a Ri237 when surfing regular" as it is different on every boat. Here is the gist of it - on a Ri series boat if you pull the CATS fin to the opposite side that you are surfing the wave will typically become more rounded and develop more of a smooth hump shape. If you set the CATS fin to the same side you are surfing on it will create a sharper lip at the top. Now those are generalizations but it typically holds true. On the 2016 / 2017 Ri237 I typically run CATS at -5 to 10 for both port and starboard surfing as we want to round out the starboard side slightly and sharpen up the port side wave. My other settings are typically 10.8mph, Quicksurf at 65 and Stinger plate set to whatever makes the wave the best. On the Ri217 and Ri257 I typically run the CATS at 0 though I will adjust based on the circumstances. Hope that helps.

So. I've had it on for a while but have only used the boat maybe 5-6 times. We mostly surf... actually, all we do is surf! So there's limited time that I'm doing any more than 17MPH. I did NOT through bolt it because it would have required a contortion artist to get into position to thread on the nuts inside the engine compartment. I DID however drill the holes out a bit and used larger diameter lag type screws to secure it to the boat. Along with some silicone sealant. You can kinda see the brace in the bottom pic. It's a square tube that's bolted to a bracket at the drain hole. So far, it's totally sturdy and showing no signs of loosening or anything. I'm going to email Larry and see if we can come up with a better solution. But for now, my mini beaver tail mudflap is doing the trick. Just looks ridiculous.
