Just a follow up to this post.... I managed to break away from the office early this afternoon and we dropped the 257 into the drink. I did some tweaking and tried to get this wave dialed in. First off I set the fill times accurately for the ballasts. I came to realize that I may not have had all ballasts right full last time out. I also hit the override on the Ramfills just to make sure there was a steady stream coming out of the vents. Now that we knew everything was full, I drained the Non-surf side Ramfill to 90%, set the tabs and CATS, and bumped the speed up to 11.7. Now we got ourselves a phenomenal wave. There was more push than we knew what to do with. And for a looooooong ways back. A couple of times I thought I fell behind the wave, and than it spit me right back out with very little effort. I know there's more left in it, but we're happy campers now. I will say that I don't think CATS was working properly last time out. No matter what I did I couldn't seem to see or feel any difference. Tonight I could definitely notice the CATS working and making a difference. I'm assuming the issue I was experience was another glitch with the software. About the software........... so we were ready to head in and put the boat on the trailer. I went to drain all of the tanks and had nothing. The software wouldn't trigger the pumps to drain. I managed to get a hold of Centurion just as they were leaving. They happily talked me through everything. At the end of it all, they ended up emailing me the software for both screens and walked me through how to reinstall the software. Yes, I happened to have my laptop bag in my truck. And luckily there happened to be a USB key in there. So I reinstalled the software and it fixed my issue. Frustrating for sure, but Centurion stepped up to the plate and hussled to get me back up and going again. I was able to get a real voice on the phone from the get go. When I did they didn't give me a run around about not seeing any issues like this before. They flat out admitted that the software is glitchy and has been causing issues, and they helped me with a workaround. These guys are top notch. It's bad enough when you fork out the amount of money we do for these boats and than experience the issues we do. But it makes it a lot easier to stomach when the manufacturer owns up to it and really wants to work with you to make it right. Oh and BTW, Centurion has another software revision that is going to be available in the very near future. They are pretty sure this will be the one we've all been waiting for. I'd recommend keeping a USB key preloaded with software on the boat until they get these issues sorted out. Than if you're ever in this sort of situation, it'll be a 5 minute fix. One last thing....... my 16x15 (2829) prop showed up last week. So I had that installed for the trip today. I'm not sure that I'm going to stick with it. WOT gave me 39.7 MPH. Surfing at 11.7 MPH was about 3000 RPM's. 4000RPM cruise landed us right around 30MPH. There was definitely still enough power to go faster than anybody would ever surf. I felt the motor was working a heck of a lot harder than with the 16x13 though. I feel like it wasn't quite in it's power band therefore the engine was lugging a lot more. On top of that I'm 90% sure we burned a LOT more fuel. The 16x13 didn't work the boat as hard so I think that was the difference. Both props are more than sufficient for surfing heavy, but I am pretty sure I prefer the way it ran with the 16x13 much better. I only picked up about 2.5 - 3 MPH on the top end. Not enough to write home about. Also, the hole shot (empty) was night and day difference between the 2 props. With the 16x13 it almost jumps out of the water. The 16x15 was much more sluggish. Not that it should be a surprise given the difference in the 2 props. But I think I'll be throwing the 16x13 back on and calling it a day. The 16x15 will only get worse as we start loading the boat up with people. Sorry for the winded post, but I'm hoping my findings will help out others in the future. We really love this boat. And Centurion has been top notch to deal with.

With @chowder2016 - factory says it was just the starter. Everything else seems to be fine. Didn't hydrolock it or anything which means let's add MORE lead! Haha jk...

cap n rotor plugs serp belt pulleys (bearings) clean fuel arrestor fuel injector cleaner / fuel conditioner trailer wheel bearings (grease) tires (condition) possible rotation surge brakes (brake bleed / fluid replace) all kinds of things could be done. trailer maintenance really depends on if you store in / outside, and how far you typically tow.

I made panel savers from some steel channel and just rust-oleum'd them. The steel channel was $21 and the store cut three holes in each for me too! I got this at a hardware store. What I mean by the front one is, when you open the rear locker there is two panels (same on each side)... a longer one (rear) and the front shorter one. My rear pieces came standard with panel savers, but the fronts didn't. For the larger screws, when you take the panels out you'll notice a channel on the motor bay floor that the panels sort of fit into. There is 6 screws i believe and they are TINY. Un-screw them and bring that piece to a hardware store. Fit the biggest screws that will still stay flush with the channel and buy them. They only need to be like 1/4" long or something It sounds labor intensive, but it's seriously a 5 minute total job minus the driving, which i was about 10 beers deep so my girlfriend drove me.

Good to know. I know pictures are completely deceiving, but I feel my listed wave looks better than your suck gate wave just comparing photos. But I'm definitely going to do some testing as well. A friend on here may be selling his boat and I get first crack at his gate. (Too many other projects going on to fab my own). My big concern is getting up to speed. At 300ft elevation 8 of my friends and I tried out QS and we couldn't break 10mph which made it ridiculous to drain the rams, we had to drain the PnPs first just to be able to get over 10. So I've gone taboo on loading both rams above 70% at the same time. I'm running the 409 as well. In both photos the wave is clean past the rope length.

So I got a full Nauticurl suckgate test done today on my SV244, ZR409 engine with #1433 prop. Regular side surfed 100% Ramfill on surf side and 80% on non-surf side to create slight list (2,250lbs). 100% in both rear PnP bags (1400lbs). Bow sac full at 500lbs. Surfed today for 3hrs with another CC member and he brough 400lbs of lead with him. First we put it in back but it made the wave super steep with huge curl and it was not as long as we wanted....so we took all the lead to bow and all I can say is, wow! Total of 4,550lbs of ballast plus 1 of us driving at 200lbs while the other surfed....11-11.4mph @ 3,400rpm had an incredible wave that was nice and long with tons of push. Both of us recovered a few times from a good 20ft back several times. Best wave I have ever had hands down. Listed I run 3,200 so I was pretty happy that adding over 2,000 of ballast only increased my rpm by 200. Since we surfed sets of 4-6 runs and kept switching off for 3hrs straight, I was also able to greatly improve my skills today. Finally feel like I am controlling the wave rather than being controlled by it. Great time, perfect weather even tho it was a bit windy. But point is Nauticurl suck gate vs listed. With the added lead, sure I can also get my listed wave a bit better, but no doubt that adding the lead to front so there was 900lbs up there lengthened it out more than I otherwise could have unless I had a fully loaded boat with people....and being able to add around 1700lbs to rear surfing slightly listed(250lb difference) with suckgate vs fully listed made a big difference. I am sure the newer boats with surf system do it similar....but without a surf system and the 3 tabs, doubt it gets much better on THIS boat, short of a ton of people in boat, or adding another 1000lbs of lead.

I don't agree with that, wind, chop, water flow, and water depth can all affect your RPMs and can make them bounce all over the place which would cause your perfect pass to go full schizo. There's a reason everyone goes by speed

I really wanted to ride today but it turned out to be solid labor getting this boat road ready. Were on the move to Powell.

I'm taking this 233 in a south easterly direction. Thanks again @NW Boat Sports These racks are looking like they will work.
