Dear Crew, was wondering what you would do? Its been hard, but I have limited my search for a new wave to two: Option 1: preorder S226 optioned out, approx 3900 lbs ballast upgrade (pretty sure my dealer is saying he can do a 750 bow sack on top of 1100's in the rear pnp and 1000 factory quickfill for a total of about 3900) fresh off the factory floor, or for about an extra $10k; Option 2: 2016 ri217, seems to have most options except floor upgrade, 4900 lbs ballast. I run mostly 2-4 peeps, and only surf (don't even carry other gear) and both sides religously. I like the fit and feel of the supremes better (seem roomier to me) but wave is most important. Fresh off the floor would be nice vs. sitting for a year on the lot but so would 4900 lbs of ballast. Needless to say I am leaning heavily towards the Ri. So with that said, anyone run a 2016 ri217? Any issues with the new design? Does anyone out there think I should save the dough and go with the s226? Any other feedback? Thanks crew, appreciate the support from my fellow addicts

taking the ri257 out on saturday, any requests?
luluzer replied to Lak3surf3r's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Pretty sure Boardco has sold the black and red 257. I was in there Saturday and they had a electric blue and white 257 on the floor to climb on. The thing is a work of art, as is there mocha 237 on the floor, but pretty sure that black and red one is gone. They also sold the electric blue and black 217 they have a video, as well as the 2012 v226 they have up. Busy boat show I guess. -
I live in Durango Colorado and we surf Lake Navajo about 45 miles south on the northern tip of New Mexico. The lake is at 6100' and fed by mostly snowmelt (you can see the snow capped peaks from the lake). I do have a dry suit tho so its more a matter of the temps not freezing at night, which usually starts mid May. Water temps are usually low to mid 50's by then

Carguy, sat on a 257 today - they are a work of art, inside and out!!!! Congrats on you purchase, beautiful scheme you choose also. Enjoy the new wave. Rumor is Centurions rule the lake

Thanks fivebar - barely contain myself! Gonna have to bring her to Saguaro next month, no way I will be able to wait until my lake warms up in May.

Thank you all for the input. Thank you also Boardco!!!

Centurion Ri257 or 2017 G23
luluzer replied to sgresham's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Boardco, love the info, thank you!! Do you see much of a difference in the 2016 Ri's waves vs. the 2017 RIs? Are there many differences in the two years? Drive shaft angle, gear ratio, stinger plates, ect. . .? Thanks again -
Centurion or Epic witch is better
luluzer replied to Gollas108's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Gollas, where you at and whats your budget? There's a pimped out 2012 supreme V226 with under 200 hours, quick surf, fresh air exhaust, excellent condition, 3000 lbs plumbed ballast at Boardco in Salt Lake City for $49,9. Those V226 are sweet surf rigs and similarly priced as epics They also have an 09 SV230 with 450 hours for $46,9. Mmwatersports.com/boat-inventory/ -
About to buy a 2017 S238...I have some questions
luluzer replied to MFaso's topic in Supreme Boats General Discussion
Dcaggino, Race City Marine has a thread under the Supreme Accessories section labeled S238 Add on Sacks. It has photos and instructions for adding as much liquid ballast as possible under the seats. The wafe looks sick in the pics. Leade also works well under the seats but doesn't empty. Dont be afraid to add more weight anywhere you can fit it. Good luck getting her dailed in -
I agree with cwazy, the ex3 should be plenty for your 202. If you did want to step up to a 409, Boardco has a post about running the 409 with an ri217 at elevation (6000') and weighted (4950 lbs) and with people and he said the 409 was more than enough. Not sure if power was the info you are seeking. All the supreme engines seem to have good reputations for reliability.

Hey Boardco, do you know if the silent stinger upgrade is available on new Supreme builds? Thanks for the info

What boat do you own / what boats have you owned.
luluzer replied to DjOM21's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Boardco, impressive list man - looks like I picked the wrong profession. Hard act to follow, but mine are: 2004 Pro Air Nautique 2012 V226 2017 ???? (Wife is expecting a s226 but I might "surprise her" with a 217. Yes, I am either an idiot or an addict. Either way the first step is acceptance). -
Darkside, they have a link to video of a showroom walkthru for a 257 on their website: mmwatersports.com/boat-inventory/ Got the big boy coming eh? Gonna be in Phoenix the week of the 22nd if you need any help testing the wave. Got cold beverages and cash for gas, love cold water too. Jokes aside, congrats
-
Thanks Boardco for the awesome videos. That electric blue/black ri217 you have on lot is beautiful!!!! Who am I kidding, they are all beautiful! Did Mitch say 2000lbs of RAM fill with the 217? I though I read somewhere RI's had 3200 lbs ram fill. Thanks again for the info

Show off your goofy wave!

Troy, my apologies for the dumb question. In the pic the rope looked taut like it was tieing something down, or at least decently educated- 24 replies
