  1. So I have been trying to figure out how to hang a few more surfboards on Gladiator tower. Thanks to Pipers new racks, I got it figured out. I had a cross bar fabbed and then mounted Piper's racks to it. The cross bar is mounted to the upper mount tower speaker location. The pics have to only two boards, but I believe there is room for 2 in each rack. I also believe clearance under the boards is around 6' 3 " (have not had a chance to measure it). I really think this came out great! One it has been lake tested and proved to hold up. I am going to have the racks spread red like the rings on my Rev 10s.
  2. FI 21 Video

H - I am very early (if at all) in the process. Your boat looks great, I am sure someone is going to get a great deal.
  3. FI 21 Video

Thanks! Starting to kick around the idea of buying new sled. But the prices of a new boat are crazy. I may just go pick up another 244. Heck, maybe a Avy set up the way I had mine. Just something solid boat to get out on the lake with in the summer with the family. The kids are so busy, really dont want to spend more than $70-$80K.
  4. FI 21 Video

The prices I am quoting are what they are going to be asking (not MSRP). I am assuming you can cut 10% off. For example, these guys were selling FY17 Supreme 238 for around $85K and my buddy got them down to an out the door price of $79K. So my guess is that same boat is going to have an MSRP north of $100K and they are going to want mid to low $90K. The $130K is what he wanted on a solidly spec'd FI23. I am assuming you could get him down $5-8K.
  5. FI 21 Video

My guess is you could get it for around $120-125K. He already sold the one he has in stock. With that said, I know local guys pretty well and its just another year of manufacturer prices going up. I was told you could expect Supreme 238 to go at nearly $100k. Up nearly $20K from last year.
  6. FI 21 Video

Not sure about the FI21, but local dealer here wants $130K for a nicely appointed FI23. Having been out of a boat for the last few years, shocking that manufacturers are calling a $130K the affordable price point.
  7. Gents I have a buddy looking to pick up a used surf boat. It has been a while since I have really looked at boats and it seems like most manufacturers have solid surf boats these days. Here is my list, what boat am I missing: 1. Centurion FS33 or FS44. 2. Supra SE 450 (any other supra boats?) 3. Supreme 238 or 226 4. Malibu - what boat? the older malibu had a pretty but soft wave. How are the newer ones 5. Nati - cant afford 6. Master Craft - cant afford 7. Tige - dealer to far 8. Moomba - he just cant bring himself to buy one Hope all are doing well.
  8. Boat Shopping - $85K budget

I have never been on instagram, so not my handle. I love this site and use to be active on it. Sold my 244 because the kids just got to busy. I get jealous every time I "drive by" and see all of the great boats.
  9. Boat Shopping - $85K budget

I am the original Lakesurfer. All others are counterfeit Thanks for all of the input everybody.
  10. Boat Shopping - $85K budget

he could go a little higher for the right deal but my guess is $90K is the limit
  11. Boat Shopping - $85K budget

no wake boarding, just surfing. and floating. He has a lead on a very low hour, fully optioned (except the 550 engine) 2015 FS 44 in his price range. Very good looking.Black on Black with triple axle trailer (which he does not like). I just wanted to make sure there was not something else. Size wise, and FS 33 would be perfect. I have just not seen a used one around us yet. There are several 2016 leftovers, but they still want mid $90K.
  12. Boat Shopping - $85K budget

Thanks Bongo. Yea, I have to stay away. If I hang around on this site, its like being an alcoholic at a bar. Yea, new boat prices are stupid. That is why he is looking used. Not much of a fan of a pickle fork, but I the FS hull puts out a better wave than my old 244 hull.
  13. This system looks cool. But I have to say, I laughed when I looked at this pic. if you look closely, the sign in back says "No Bolt-Ons, No B.S."
  14. I had an FAE on my 08 Avy with dual exhaust. No issues at all, perfect wave.
  15. I am pretty sure I had the regular set up (no special swim deck or the new noise reduction exhause currently available). I can send pics to someone to upload if you need them. i dont have a CC membership, so I cant upload pics.
  16. Mine worked great. I would never have a boat without one. Decreased noise by 95%. I tried to upload a few pics for some reason it did not work.
  17. Troubles Draining SV244 - Bilge

Just pull the center plug near the engine under the center seat while you drive home. I would just pull the plug when I got off of the lake and would park on an incline while I wiped the boat down. By the time I was done, all of the water was drained out of the hull.
  18. Additional Racks?

This really worked out better than I could have hoped for. The racks were rock solid, easy to take in/out boards, and could hold two boards each. The other great thing was that if you have custom boards, you could keep them out of the sun so the boards would not fade. Definitely not the cheapest rout. Between reacks, custom cross bar mout and paint, about $900.
  19. Tint on a boat is not the same as tint in your car. Given the open environment of a boat, the window tint does not come of nearly as dark as the closed invironment of a car. Both of my boats had 20% and did not regret it at all. Unless you are out at dusk or spend a lot of time on the lake at night 20% is the right choice. Even with this said, I surfed alot early mornings and still did not have a problem. I tried to post some pics of the tint in the light (from behind the window) and a few in front to show visibility through it but I am having problems. If you want some pics, shoot me an email.
  20. LETS SEE YOUR WAVES?

I did that as well (cork from Lowes and drilled a crew in the end to make it easier to pull out). Cost about $2. It does work great, but I just could not get over the ghetto aspect.
  21. LETS SEE YOUR WAVES?

I would buy one any day of the week. Reality is that the wife/kids dont seem to miss it very much since we are very buys with sports/school/life/etc. I am holding out hope that when my 4 yr (who does miss the lake) gets a little older I will buy a boat again. Please keep on living the dream for me!
  22. LETS SEE YOUR WAVES?

Mine use to drain off all of the time until I re routed the overfill lines. As for the lead, I ran with a small crew (me and a buddy, wife and two small kids, etc). So I did not have any people weight. I I also trailer my boat, so I did not have a lift issue. Centurions stock set up is the best in the industry. With that said, I think the statement "every thing under the seats" assumes a certain amount of people weight. In addition, most Centurion owners are wake snobs. For 95% of the populations, your stock wave is more than what most people expect. Note: call Centurion and see if the bleed off has been an issue for other owners. I did surf a 2013 244 alot last summer and it did not seem to bleed off as much.
  23. LETS SEE YOUR WAVES?

Run the over fill to the opposite side of the boat. Buy some new hose from Wakemakers, a few tie downs and a hairdryer (heat end of hose to get it on/off). 30 minute job and will get consistent wake. If you dont want to fill the 400lbs sac on seat, buy lead. takes 10 seconds to move it to back corner seat/floor. I was really happy I did this. so much easier than filling an external sac. Man i miss my boat:)
  24. If you have speakers on the tower, best option is to call Centurion. You can mount the Skylon lights directly on the outside mounts. However, Centruion makes speaker brackets that mount both the Wetsound speaker and lights on the inside mounts. FYI: Skylon will tell you that the lights rotate. Technically they do, but it is a PITA.
  25. if you have a Tige/CC dealer near you, they generally are PCM certified and can do warranty work. If you have the Merc engine, alot of the boat dealers are Merc certified (at least in TX they are)
