  1. 2020 Ri237 vs Supra SL450

Got out on the SL450 yesterday and I have to say the wakesurf wave was a bit of a disappointment. It was long and clean but for the amount of weight we put in the boat it just didn’t have the kind of push my SV244 has. Next up is the Ri237!
  2. 2020 Ri237 vs Supra SL450

Thanks for the reply’s. I’ve read that the SL will require at least 800#’s of extra weight. My SV244 needs 400#’s of lead and my friend puts 400#’s of lead in his Ri237. My SV230 also required extra weight. We’re surfing the SL Friday so we will see. If the wake isn’t impressive I’ll be doing a demo of the Ri237 next. Fun times!
  3. 2020 Ri237 vs Supra SL450

The Supra dealer is four hours of highway driving closer to us so if the wake can compete with an Enzo....
  4. I’ve been a big fan of Rotella 15w40 in my boats. I usually pull my batteries out and store them in my garage. I try and put a charger on them once a month in the winter.
  5. I have an issue like this almost every year with my quickfill valves as they tend to seize over time. I just replace them. My boat is not a ramfill boat so I'm not sure if your valves have the same issue. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
  6. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

Thought I would add an update to this post in case others have issues with the CATS fin. After the first time the CATS fin skewed sideways for no reason, and I'm not sure I hit anything, I would have to re-center it. I would loosen the nut a little, swim under the boat and center the fin then tighten the nut. This would seem to happen at least once a year for the last couple of years. So after happening again last weekend we decided to take it apart and see if we could find a permanent fix. It turns out the shear key had sheared off and the CATS shaft was only being held by the clamping force since the first failure. Brass has a shear strength of 34,000psi and the key is 1/4"x1" so it took 8500#'s of shear to fail? Crazy!
  7. I just did an oil change and used Mobil 5w30 with the blue Gen2 logo. After 650 hours the engine never used a drop of the 15w40 Rotella. Hopefully it doesn’t consume any of this thinner oil.
  8. Problem solved. I replaced the Drainmaster quick fill valve that was stuck open and the water filling up the bilge stopped. I guess without the valve gates pushing on the seals water eventually starts seeping in.
  9. Hey Guys, we leave out boat in the water all summer and now for the first time in six seasons of doing this we have a fair amount of water in the bilge in the morning. Any ideas of what I should look for? I checked all the ballast fittings and drain plugs but didn’t see any issues there. The rudder and other components are greased annually.
  10. One of my Drainmaster valves will fail every year. I purchased a few and just replace them as required.
  11. That’s an interesting change. I emailed pcm when I purchased my 2014 Enzo with the 409 engine and they recommended Rotella 15w40 back then.
  12. One of my QF valves was stuck open so I’m going to replace it and hopefully it solves the problem.
  13. Thanks Infinity. I shop vacuumed the bilge dry last night and didn’t see any water seeping in around the thru-hulls or other fittings.?
  14. Have a 2015 SV233...Need Help

My dash is different. Try your CATS at 50. Tab at 0. At least 11mph
  15. Have a 2015 SV233...Need Help

No, I manually do it every time out.
  16. Have a 2015 SV233...Need Help

The QF valves tend to seize up over time so what I do is open the starboard side first and check the vent hole under the gas cap to make sure air is being pushed out of the tank. If it’s not I stop and start it until it’s filling. Then I do the same on the port side. Then fill the fat sacs
  17. Have a 2015 SV233...Need Help

Fill the QF on both sides. You need to fill the starboard side one before you start filling the fat sacs on the port side to keep the intake low in the water. Also fill the port pro and port pnp. We have 200#’s of lead jammed in the back port corner behind the pnp sac. Wake plate at 0 and CATS at 100 going 11.2 mph should be a good starting place. Ours is a 2014 SV244 but should be pretty much the same as yours.
  18. What is the gap between the prop and the hull? On my 07 SV230 I had about 1/2”
  19. Prop Thread

I really liked a five blade prop on my 2007 SV230 but I’m at sea level. Call Nettles or Acme Props to get more insight.
  20. Prop Thread

Are you looking for more speed or more holeshot?
  21. Does the 240 have the quick fill hard tanks? I think the older Enzo’s that didn’t have the quickfill tanks made a better wakesurf wake with less ballast.
  22. With the suck gates you need to fill all your sacs and tank. Bow weight is also required for best results. The suck gate needs to be back as far as possible then play with the height. My boat likes it just at the top of the water, my friends Tige likes it well under.
  23. Probably a few hundred pounds in the bow. Invite a few friends out and move them around until the wake cleans up. Start at around 10mph
  24. Is there a bench seat at the back you can put a ballast bag under? You will also need a bow sac and the suck gate is a must.
