  1. Screw through the hull

The screw hole was about 6-8 inches from the outside corner of the hull. I never saw the screw so cannot tell you how long it was. I got the boat back today and they did a great job, cannot even tell where the hole was.
  2. CREW DEAL: Hula Boat Care Products

Also, if you have any boat care questions, do not hesitate to call John at Hula. He has extensive knowledge for he has been in the business 30+ years. He was with Meguiers for a long time.
  3. Screw through the hull

I do not know how long the screws were, but you would think they would be careful not to go all the way through the hull.
  4. CREW DEAL: Hula Boat Care Products

I absolutely love the Hula boatcare products and know John (the owner) personally. The polymer sealant provides awesome protection and shine. It is a synthetic sealant that lasts much longer than waxes. If you store your boat in a marina with spiders and bug issues, wipe the boat off with gnarly spot remover and the bugs stay off. My guess is that it contains fruit acids that spiders may not like. Who knows but it works. The spray detail is great for keeping up the shine. Lastly, I love the vinyl cleaner/conditioner. It keeps your vinyl in great shape. John always sends me goodies with every order. He also provides most every item in the gallon size if you use alot of the products.
  5. Screw through the hull

Being my anal self, I asked that question and they said absolutely. It was the safest way. They mentioned that they will use straps on boats only if it is warrented. This facility was pretty awesome. I watched them lower the boat back down on the trailer. They were more gentle than I would have been.
  6. For normal cleaning I mix it with water but pollen may need full strength over the counter. I have access to glacial strength too when needed but have to be real careful. I have never used the sudsy but worth a try.
  7. White distilled vinegar with a soft brush. Leave in sun and repeat if necessary. We have horrible pollen stain issues here in Central Texas.

  9. LETS SEE YOUR WAVES?

That's great news. I have been using my wife's wine corks, but they fall out every now and then. I told Melissa to drink more wine, I need some more corks . I will try Lowes for my corks now. No one has ever noticed my corks, you cannot really see them due to the water line.
  10. Check out the topics on re-enforcing the locker dividers here on the forum. I did this in my cyclone and it makes a huge difference for the 1100 lb bag. No more knocking out the divider or warping it. I would put in 1100's and fill it to the max that you can fill to use up all the space in the locker.
  11. Awesome Customer Service

Travis, move to Texas!!! Please!!! Travis rocks it!!!
  12. In our 21 cyclone, the port wave is epic when I limit putting lots of weight in the bow. With limited peeps, we add a 750 bag in port corner seat. With more than 5 people we will add 400lb sac on port seat. We also add a fat brick on the port side swim platform too. Make sure the port corner is weighted down good.
  13. Jim, Welcome to the Centurion crew family. I am the anal guy that came in and told you to open up a surf shop so I can buy accessories for my Centurion and surfing :-). You are my closest Centurion dealer (1 hour away) so I am glad you picked up Centurion. I, too, am tired of seeing Bu's/Axis, Nautiques, etc. running around central Texas. It's great that Centurion is getting a presence in Central Texas. New Braunfels has been a Mecca of water ski/wake board/water sports for decades, so take advantage of that. Let us know of any surfing events you have so we can participate. Let me know if you ever come up to Lake Belton. Again, welcome!!! Travis
  14. Ballast Advice

If 1100 bags will fit in back lockers, go with the jumbo 1100 bag. It made a big difference in my Cyclone. I started with 750's then upgraded to the 1100's. On the port side seats and underneath we use 2 400 lb bags plus 250 lb hard tank. Then a fat brick to adjust accorfing to peeps on boat. We also add 250-300lb on starboard side for the regular surf. Check out my picks and video on my profile page.
  15. Long Board Fun and pics

Runt I am looking for a used longboard, what length works best for you?
  16. Like the tribal flames too. I have green metal flake tribal flames too, on a black hull. They look good in the sun.
  17. Welcome to the board and send pics of your boat. I agree with all of the PM information. I usually change my impellor and oil every 100 hours regularly. You do not want pieces of a wore-out impellor going up into your system. I would also suggest keeping a good vinyl conditioner/cleaner (I like Hula which may be hard to find, local company, or 3M) on your vinyl to protect it from the elements, store covered up, and apply a good polymer sealant (Hula or Meguiers) on the gel coat to protect it from the damaging rays of the sun. http://products.hulaboatcare.com
  18. New boat

    Awesome!!!! Congrats!!
  19. FX 22

I am thinking of trading in my Cyclone C4 2009 (and another boat) for the FX22 with quick fill ballasts. A dealer has a demo (2013) for a good price (32 hrs). I have heard some issues with free board, and wave coming over stern. The only reason I am considering it is the good price. We are 100% surf, my wife goofy, me normal. It can be some work to get all my bags filled and set in the Cyclone, but I have a decent wave. Switching to goofy takes some time. The quick fill ballast just seem to be a nice feature. I have not been in a FX 22, but like the cockpit/interior, quickfill system, with 4000lb of ballasts. I am limited to length due to my boat slip (22ft max). Any input from FX22 owners and others experienced with the FX would be appreciated. I really like our Cyclone which makes this decision hard. I have not surfed any other Centurions so do not know what, if anything I am missing. Todd at Centurion really likes the FX models for surfing, talked with him at the boat show last month. Thanks for any and all input.
  20. FX 22

Our kids sit in bow some but that's it. I usually have a fat sac in bow.
  21. James walker big boy

On man, I better keep my weight down. I am usually 220 (230 now), but I have some 250-260lb riders that might not like it. I thought it was rated for over 250???? How do you like the switchblade??? I run about 2600-3000 lbs of ballast in my Cyclone C4 and have a pretty good wave. My 260lb surfers can surf with no rope with the Ronix Koal (5'6" boards).
  22. Or come down south to Lake Belton, awesome lake. I purchased my houseboat from Lake Grapevine in your neck of the woods.
  23. Yes, went the last weekend and was disappointed to not see an FX model Centurion. I met Todd, the marketing director for Centurion and he had some great advice for my boat. He also talked me into an Inland Surfer (Big boy fly boy)!!! I did not care for the new looks of the Nautique and the Tige (remind me of what a brick would look like if it floated). The MB's looked pretty nice. On the Epic, that whole stern speaker thing, yep I would flood them speakers :-). We need more Centurion dealers in Texas for sure. I am tired of all the Supra's, Moomba's, and Malibu's.
  24. James walker big boy

    Yes it does.
  25. James walker big boy

I heard they were way back ordered so I snatched one while I could, even got a discount on it. That was their display and are shipping me the board from their store. It sure does not look big enough for me. It supposed to be a 14.
