Trim Tab Help and Suggestions
gogodatzn replied to mjpcarbon's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
You know that a good gelcoat repair person can make the holes go away for a lot less than you payed for those tabs. Its not that visible of a spot. Just a thought. -

New Platform Surfacing Help
gogodatzn replied to PayCheck's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Build a new one! Saw a pretty new boat down in Shasta with a DYI deck. Looked real nice. it was some marine plywood sprayed with truck bed liner and a custom SeaDek pad. The guy was keeping the OEM cherry for the future. You can make it what ever shape you want, long, short, wide ect.. -
What size sac to fill 08 Avy port locker?
gogodatzn replied to Lake Water Connoisseur's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
I have an 08 Avy with side swipe. I have 1100 lbs in both sides, no problems with the dividers. I plan on getting a custom sacks when i have the extra cash. Go as big as you can afford. You dont have fill it all the way, but whats the point in that;) -
OJ TZ-X5 5 Blade Prop
gogodatzn posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Has any one used an OJ TZ-X5 5 blade prop yet? I have read good things on some other forums. I'm wondering if this will fit on my 08 avy. It's sacked out with about 2250lbs of available 4000lbs of ballast and usually 3 or 4 people in the boat.(3500 ft elevation) im on the search for a better than stock prop. Any info??? -

Yup. Its kind of a pain but worth it. I have the port locker full 1100lbs, starbord at about 750ish, the center full 500lbs and the bag on top of the locker 350lbs. The trim tab set at 50% with usually 3 or 4 people in the boat. I tried puttin the bag forward in the seat and under the seat and the wave is not as good. More weight in the back corner. I think this setup produces the best wave that the Avy can make. Super fun, can't get enough.- 115 replies

New Use for a Wrench
gogodatzn replied to sallen's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Im having issues with surging to. 08 Avy, with PP. Was the surge at idle or at your set speed? Mine does it when idling back to pick up a rider it gains 200 to 300 rpm than drops back to idle with out touching the throttle. I honestly havent looked at the cable in a few sessions, to busy surfing and enjoying the sun;) -

Jon B. here, joined the family in the fall. Ditched the 90 Blue Water Pro Am Skier (good starter) for an 08 Avalanche C4. Only got one session before winterizing. We live in Bend Oregon, it gets cold here early. Unfortunately the Avy. need a lot of help. Lots of loose missing screws. The stereo was a total loss. All new kicker system top and bottom including the hack job wiring. The trailer was pretty waisted too, built two new axels, 4 wheel brakes, new wheels and tires and a few other things. The stock rear tanks just weren't going to do. Installed 2 1100lbs sacks and added a 650lbs sack up front. custom sacks in the future$$$. Just added a heater, supper stoked about it too. Took a bunch of stuff to the powder coat shop, black black black..It took a bunch of coin and a lot of help from some grate friends that I wont be asking for gas money from to get done. Dedication!!! Easter Sunday, air temp was about 55 and water temp was 47, burrr. Wireless no problem but still need some tuning. There were only 4 other fishing boats on the lake on this day. A few worm days and we will have it. Here are some pics. I didn't even have all the gear on yet. Fun yet to come!!
