bilge intervals?
DrNate replied to beau t's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Yeah, you've got a leak somewhere. My bet is the shaft seal on an 07. You can switch it out to a dripless shaft seal. There's a how-to write up -
August 2017 picture and video thread
DrNate replied to stoked's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
My son wanted to try the longboard for the first time yesterday. He had a blast! Something so fun about riding that thing -
So my 12 year old son has been killing it behind the boat. He learned on an Inland Surfer Ooze but now I feel the board is holding him back. He wants a more surf style board for better bottom turns, airs, etc. His bottom turns are legit, but the pin tail is not good for pushing off of, etc. He weights 140 pounds and absolutely HATES arch bars, he has flat feet, so this probably rules out Inland Surfer. Obviously I could have a custom made, but not willing to spend the coin on that just yet. Looking for probably around 4'2" to 4'6" in size guessing on the size of boards he's ridden. Don't want to break the bank but I know you get what you pay for also. Suggestions appreciated. Used is ideal. Prefer like a squash or slight round tail. He wants to try like a quad fin or twinzer fin setup but interchangable from 3-4-to 2 fin setup would be cool.

Elite V - pocket too close to the boat
DrNate replied to Wolfpacker's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Well, there's 3 easy ways to lengthen the pocket of a wave but it will make the wave smaller. You can either increase your speed, lower your wake plate, or add bow weight. Having said that, I have only surfed behind one Elite V and the wave was MASSIVE, so it can be achieved. This boat was heavily listed to the Port side and had 800#'s of fat sacs laying on the seats, all under seat ballast full, probably totalled 2300 #'s total. WAY listed. For what it's worth- 10 replies

Weighed my loaded 2014 SV233
DrNate replied to ReSession's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
That sounds about right. Seems like I remember someone else weighing theirs at a highway weigh station and on the trailer full of gas and gear it was pushing 7K pounds also. Hope your lift warranty works out for you! -

I always put a full 5 quarts and never had an issue. Mine is a 2011 with the new dipstick -
I have always thought the same thing. Congrats on the new ride and don't be a stranger

That's funny I thought it was a drone also -
Yeah, it's definitely not THAT sticky. I would still prefer grippier regular traction on my short boards but obviously not doing any aerials on that 9 footer

Shes pretty -
I ended up using 3 sets for my longboard because I wanted to go all the way from tip to tail. This was with 2 sets on, you can see it is a bit lacking.

This is not good news. I was inspired to see YouTube videos of people literally swimming with them, leaving them at the bottom of a pool for an hour, etc. and they still worked. Only issue was the speakers. I do have insurance on my phone though for obvious reasons. I know they do make waterproof cases but they are rather bulky

I have lost 2 iphones to pool water, so I know how it goes. Tried to "dry them out" with rice overnight and it never works. Luckily I have an IPhone 7 and they are water resisitant.

I would like to see better pictures of the lockers on either side of the back hatches. Is it a separate area from the back hatch area? I would want to know how much lead I can put in it -

So I thought the FI was supposed to be a "crossover" or "multi-sport" boat. Is that not correct? But it surfs really well also? Seems like the new Nautique GS series are attempting to accomplish the same thing? In the past, all of the boats that tried to accomplish this seemed like they lacked in wakeboard or surf wake, so just curious

Yeah, that made national news on Monday. Pretty crazy
