  1. Same problem, 2 beeps every few minutes everything fine all gauges working, PP fine, Depth alarm turned off, replaced IAC valve didn't solve the problem - its my hey "check the gauges" alarm right now - 1 dealer stumped, 2 others say bring it down well fix it or not charge you
  2. Not a real difficult boat to get to make a very nice wave, ^^^ lean it hard (+/- 1500#) to whatever side you are surfing, doesn't need much (if any) nose weight and put a 150# Fat Brick on the swim deck. An Asymmetrical wake plate is a very nice addition to fine tune it the way you want it and it will also knock down the rooster tail as you put more weight in it. Have some custom sacs made & you'll not have to put anything on the seats (unless you are ridding with the boyz of the Utah Surf Mafia ). Have fun, YOU ARE GONNA LOVE THE WAVE AN AVALANCHE MAKES!
  3. I agree! - it will then fill all the space completely. Just keep a close eye when filling or you now have the capacity to over fill and break something
  4. Yes, you will just need to make a manifold so you can switch from one bag to the other so you can use both pumps to fill and empty. If you have custom sacs made make sure you have an additional port to use an auxiliary to help fill, empty or transfer
  5. I used 8-1000 gph aerator pumps on my build, 2 dedicated fill, 2 dedicated empty on each side & 3/4" tubing. It was the least expensive (and use the least power) way to go and I thought it would fill and empty much faster moving that much water. If I were to do it again, I wouldn't use aerator pumps, i'd use 4-750 gph Johnson's and i'd use 1" tubing (aerators move water don't like to lift or pressurize it). You'll pay 40% more for your pumps and tubing but they move water more efficiently (faster fill / empty times, are self priming and the same pump fills and empty). Sprinkler valves, check valves cause resistance, manual valves you have to work by hand; but then you KNOW if they are open or closed (and cost less). Make your plumbing runs as short as possible. If you plan to keep the boat for a while, spend the extra $. It may be cool to push one switch, sit back, suck down some "liquid courage" and 20 min later you have 1500 lbs of water in your boat; or open / close a few valves push a switch and in 10 min you are surfing!
  6. IS fly boy big boy

I don't like it much personally. I've enjoyed riding other surf style boards better like Shred Stixx. The FB is not "squirrely" it is extremely fast rail to rail (tippy). - I prefer riding skim style boards, they are as Dura would say, "like standing on a bar of soap" - as with anything once you get the hang of it you like it.
  7. New Centurion owner

2x^ - I've been on dura's boat several times - it surf's very well, it just gets a little cramped (with his 9 kids or 12 can't remember, but he is always working on that, he is trying to have a kid for every surf board he owns I think that is how he justifies it to his wife...) an Avalanche does give you a bit more space, but has virtually the same hull as an Elite V (just a bit narrower) so you will have the same weight sensitivity issues. all that being said, if you can get a great deal on it DO IT
  8. Christmas came early!

Any way remove the impending chill coming our way. That 4 skim just works good once I put a 2" fin on it
  9. Christmas came early!

Great times yesterday! got to witness the maiden voyage of that beautiful girl. Got to ride her too and she is a bit more than this light weight can push around, but hey it was fun and that board is all what you say - quick & snappy, moves quickly from rail and rail and doesn't take much pumping to get her going (I know I am gonna get blasted for that description). The water was beautiful - dead calm 60 degrees and a 37 degree air temp - thank God for the man that created dry suits. Still not convinced on switching from skim style to surf style boards in my racks but, hey surfing anything on a Tuesday morning is all good no matter what you are ridding!
  10. An Avalanche's wake is very weight sensitive because of the deep-v hull shape - I have to run about 25 mph (and strategically place the crew) to get my wake to cleanup on both sides. It is W I D E and has a ton of pop without much weight, the heavier you go it is almost like hitting a wall. Surfing, well, with some bias I haven't surfed a wave I like better than my Avy's. With 2k lbs it is big, steep, clean and long (add an asymmetrical plate it is the bomb! The adjustability and cleanliness' of the wave on both sides is unmatched in a 22' boat)
  11. Advice

Add a 150# fat sac "brick" on the swim deck in the center & hold it on with a few tie downs - my Avy's wave comes alive when I add that (2x on shop for a new board)
  12. To all you guys with more than 3 boards... Phase 5 XL Diamond Inland Surfer Pink 4 Skim Inland Surfer Blue Lake Obrien Alias 5.0
  13. Went out last weekend - knocked down the spray on the goofy side! - The port and goofy wave looked identical, like a mirror image photo shop. On both sides as we raised the plate the wave got steeper (and shorter, but more push) and there started to be more of a rooster tail that would form too. Just the opposite would happen as we lowered the plate, no rooster tail, long and super clean, but only a little push - it took a bunch of work to keep in the pocket. Dura has photos he will have to post.
  14. IAC - Idle Air Control sensor - I'll take a look...
