August 2017 picture and video thread
DarksideR replied to stoked's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Been riding heelside alot lately. Seems to pay off in comps so I'm trying new things. Got a heelside air three down pretty good now and I'm working on heelside air reverses... Damn hard! Here's a screen grab of a nice method I pulled off yesterday.- 51 replies

One of our carbon skimboards on a customers Harley... doesn't get much cooler.

That is quite possible!

Ever since day one of owning my boat, the bow bag would self drain. I'd see it shoot out the vent when I was surfing. Or so I thought... My bow bag started to overflow one day at 70%, so I figured it must have moved and was caught under the footwell. So when I lifted the bow cushions and repositioned the bag I noticed a 1.5" perfect slice in the side of the bag. It was the bilge pump shooting the water out every time! Sent pics to my dealer two weeks ago to ask for warranty as its obvious to me that the installer cut the box open and sliced the bag at the factory. So far, no response. For now a silicone caulk and duck tape is holding it fairly well.

Here's Chris Wolter and Ashley Kidd at WakeShredder riding a SUP behind the boat. Chris is showing us his wrestling moves of a flying elbow from the top ropes! @Fivebar2, sometimes air 180's go bad. Almost got a fin where the sun don't shine. Great idea by the way for a crash thread!

New shoes!!! And a level kit and air bags. Would have loved to go with a 4" lift and 35's but that's counter productive for towing. I'm happy with how it turned out. F-150 Ecoboost Stormtrooper edition!

made a vid of wakesurfing with drone
DarksideR replied to Gollas108's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Nice! I wish the Mavic was a little easier to grab out of the air when landing. Still the best bang for buck quality drone out there. Considering its compactness. -
My WS420sq crapped out on me over the winter too. My whole port side of inboats has no sound. If I flip the rca's around, it switches to the starboard side not working. I suppose it COULD be the rca's themselves... ?

DFW boat show, Fi23 on display

Why don't you play the video on your iPad and pause it in good spots to take screen grabs and then you'll have the pics to post? Easier than uploading videos -
THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!
- FOR SALE
- USED
Selling my "almost mint condition" Soulcraft HC. (Came from factory with a spot on the nose that was sanded right through, so I repaired it) She's a 4'6" with a layer of innegra to help stiffen it up a bit to prevent buckling. Six fin setup. Ridden about eight times. Fast as hell. Currently has a Viskus traction on it but will also include the Soulcraft traction and six fins. Located in Canada, but willing to ship just about anywhere. Shipping cost will be extra.$650.00

When we were down at WakeShredder we almost went for a factory tour with Hunter Clement, but there just wasn't enough time. I can't emphasize how bad I wanted that to happen. Maybe when I buy my next boat.... in 2057

I will be going to Outlaw next year. Had to fight a bit to stay in Amatuer this year. And yet the same 17 year old keeps beating me! LOL. Would love to see you whoop Nathan's butt Nick! ? -
CCC reject! LOL! LOVE IT! If I were to switch brands, it'd be to a Supra or a Nautique. What a badass looking boat you got there Jer. CONGRATS! Now lets see the waves!

July 2017 picture and video thread
DarksideR replied to DarksideR's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Wow! Great pics and vids everyone!! Holy cow Nate!... That boy of yours has sure grown! Took another second place finish at the Northwest Wakesurf Open. Probably the largest number of competitors in one division in any of the competitions. 17 riders. One of them being a fellow Crew member: Fivebar. Broke into three separate heats. Top two from each heat advanced. Three day event. Day one, I placed first in my heat and second overall. Day two, I placed first overall with my best contest run to date! So I went into the finals against five other amazing riders on day three and kinda crapped the bed. Either way, I had a blast! Got out yesterday for some fun and boosted a couple decent airs. And almost took a fin up the butt! LOL -
Really appreciate you filling in the blanks and being involved on this forum. It's great to get actual answers instead of speculation.

I've yet to try it myself, but I know some people using the Nuff surf traction and they really like it.
-
In reality, it'll be revealed in September!
-
HAHA! I can hear Nate talking sh*t in my head right now seeing those pics! LOL!

Fresh air exhaust
DarksideR replied to gravity12's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
So. I've had it on for a while but have only used the boat maybe 5-6 times. We mostly surf... actually, all we do is surf! So there's limited time that I'm doing any more than 17MPH. I did NOT through bolt it because it would have required a contortion artist to get into position to thread on the nuts inside the engine compartment. I DID however drill the holes out a bit and used larger diameter lag type screws to secure it to the boat. Along with some silicone sealant. You can kinda see the brace in the bottom pic. It's a square tube that's bolted to a bracket at the drain hole. So far, it's totally sturdy and showing no signs of loosening or anything. I'm going to email Larry and see if we can come up with a better solution. But for now, my mini beaver tail mudflap is doing the trick. Just looks ridiculous. -
Was looking for a 1ton diesel forever. Trying to find a good used one for a fair price is next to impossible right now in Canada because they're all being sold to Americans for more money. So I gave up and bought myself a 2017 F150 twin turboed ecobeast. It gets the job done with plenty to spare.

Wow! Slow month for pics! Great pics Nick and Fivebar. Thought I'd pop in and see what's going on and share some highlights of my June. A bunch of us hauled wakesurferadams fs33 to Shasta for 3 days and surfed our faces off. Then spent a day with Hunter Clement and his awesome family at Oroville (Amazing lake). Then off to the WakeShredder throwdown where I was in first on the first day, then crapped the bed day two and three taking home a second place trophy. Got to meet Nick213 and his wife too! Had so much fun! Watching all the pros throw down after the contest was a highlight. Seeing it right behind your boat is pretty impressive. Chris Wolter and Ashley Kidd were standouts. Such powerful aggressive surfing!

Fresh air exhaust

My version of the Duffy mudflap. Works like a hot damn. Just hope it's not adding too much stress on the hull/FAE connection. It's a heavy rubber stair tread that has a fair bit of flex to it so it works really well. The third pic is the deflector that Larry sent me to try. There's two issues with it. One, it has to be mounted too high so that the trim tab doesn't hit it. And Two, it's a horrible shin basher when getting back into the boat. We had two casualties the other day even though I warned everyone before hand. -
07 Elite V - not enough push to surf
DarksideR replied to SaltCitySurfer's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I owned the same boat as you for five years. Here's what worked for me: regular surf: No bow weight. 750 surf side locker 400 on rear bench pushed to the surf side 400 on floor of surf side. ( or put weight under surf side seat if possible) 300ish in the starboard locker ( this made all the difference when it came to push. Only works for reg surf. Starboard is setup exactly the same but without counterweight) I always had a clean wave around 10.5-11mph. Any faster and you'll lose all the push. With the Nauticurl device, load the boat up ALMOST even. Still no bow weight. So still slightly listed to the surf side. Drain non surf side until the wave cleans up -
We've actually had a couple days of sunshine grace us with it's presence so far this month. I was fortunate enough to have one of them off! So here's some pics of our surf crew on tuesday. Everyone had a great time behind my buddies 2017 Ri237. I was ecstatic to be able to ride without booties on and not have my feet go numb within 5 mins! COME ON SUMMER!!
