  1. wood stringer

Depends on the Model. Sport BowRider where always wood floor and stringers until they quit building them. T5 built in Merced unless they had a Decal on them calling them T5 Comp, for Composite, built in Merced where wood stringers. All other models switched over in 1999.
  2. I would contact V/M and see how much to get the correct ones. The trailer I am sure was built with them and shipped for Fineline with them. Sounds l like a dealer issue to me. You someone owes them to you, but if you cannot get them from the dealer I would still contact V/M to get the correct ones so they fit correctly.
  3. Swim Platform size

That should be the correct one since a Lightning in 2007 was the Same as a Elite V C4.
  4. 2016 Trailers

Boatmate allows for MetalFlake fenders and steps on their trailers. I understand that V/M did not do that. I also think the a lot of the limitation to what Fineline offered was due to the V/M and not Boatmate. They could not offer options that V/M could or would not do, so this might be part of the reason for the switch to Boatmate 100%.
  5. 2016 Trailers

I have heard that you can get Electric Brake option on the Boatmate, but it is really just Electric Over Hydraulic. They still use the same Disc Brakes but with an electric Master Cylinder system and you end up with a Battery Box up in front of the winch on the Tongue. They do it for some export trailers for countries that require electric brakes.
  6. skurfer

All i can say is if WakeBoards would have stayed manufactured like a Skurfer the sport never would have taken off. Way to hard to get up on and not much control. The sport sure has come a long way.
  7. WORLDS

Interesting that 3 of the finals are under some kind of protest. Never heard of that before. I wander what and how they are protesting. Perhaps they have to much subjective scoring and no objective scoring as they used to have in the CWSA events.
  8. WORLDS

They had a late night. The Awards Gala ran late so perhaps they are still recovering for the big Bash.
  9. WORLDS

Mens Surf Finals going on now and they are getting it on.
  10. WORLDS

    Know what you mean WETSU.
  11. WORLDS

Yeah got stuck at home for the day due to a family event so could not go to the Crew Meet or the Worlds, but this is the second best thing I guess if you cannot be there.
  12. Watching the World's and that Ri Wake really looks mean. Tall and Long, even with the wind effect caused by the high winds at Parker.
  13. wood stringers?

I think the first glass stinger Centurion was the either 98 or 99 Elite V-Drive. At least from what I have been told. The best way to test the stringers is take a wrench ands how easy the lag bolts holding the engine mounts in place turn. If they turn easily then more than likely the stringer has rot. Another way to tell is is the bilge and stringer area a smooth molded Gel Coat finish or is it more of a rough raw fiberglass area, especially under the motor mounts.
  14. WORLDS

Loving the Feed, very professionally done and great announcing as well. The wave look fantastic even with the high winds and the current they are fighting. Cannot wait for the Pro Division's. Some of these Amateurs are killing it. That Red Ri237 is one Sharp looking boat by the way. I kind of like that they did not wrap them this year, lets us see the boats as they are instead.
  15. Buyers can no longer choose where they buy their boat!

Lets look at this a different way. I see it as helping the good dealers. Lets say you go to Hillside and you see a boat you really like. And you know that he has a great dealership and does great customer service, but as we all know that is a cost of operating a dealership, and it has to be recovered somewhere in the transaction. So you go to the internet and you find a poor dealer some 300 miles away but you can save money on the boat because not only are you buying from a guy with a lot less overhead, but he also knows that he will more than likely never see you again. So he dumps a boat to you. Now you have a engine problem or something was missing on the boat when you got it. That guy 300 miles away is going to say "Well you took it as it was, not my problem". Where as the good dealer would have taken care of you from the start. So if Fineline is trying to control this kind of stuff I say go for it, let them stop those types of dealers and they will figure out who they are and will replace them with a better dealer. From what I understand almost every boat company has dealer sales territories that they try to enforce some do it better than others I am sure, but I have heard of penalties being applied to dealers, and also dealers cancelled over selling out of territory. Just one other way of looking at this, and I really would rather it be this way than open season on selling.
  16. Engine Hatches

It is supposed to be a fiberglass board material. They is manufactured for them and they just cut it out. Never have seen one warped like the old wood ones did. That is sure strange.
  17. More than likely it is that they would get trashed here on Crew because it says the wrong thing on it.
  18. I highly doubt it as they are not Bennet Trim Tabs. They are using Lenco Rams on the Supremes now. That is why the trim gauge had to come out for now. I heard from my dealer they are working on something, but he does not know what yet.
  19. I would be more concerned with Back Pressure created by the large reduction in the flow of exhaust thru that silencer. It would be really wise to get a back pressure check on the exhaust system. To much back pressure reduces HP and can damage the CATS system in the engine. The engine companies have specs for what back pressure has to be maximum.
  20. I would call there Sales Rep for your area. It is the same one my dealer has in North Carolina, Bryan Holland. Call SouthShore or Overby and ask them for his number.
  21. Hours on the Modern ECM equipped issues only measures actually running engines with RPM's. Leaving the key on does not effect the hours registered on a electronic screen or gauge. Does not sound right about acc position powering the screen though.
  22. Avalanche hull changes?

The hull itself never changed. But there where a total of 3 different decks build for it. The first one was had the Starboard side walk-thru passage by the engine from the Platform to the Cockpit. The Second one was the same boat with the Wrap around C4 seating and was called the Avalanche C4. Then a few years later the made a new deck that was taller but it still had the C4 seating in it and they build that one until 2014.
  23. I am hearing 1:00 PM Pacific time is the full reveal. I have been seeing posts on Instagram and Facebook all week with teaser pictures.
  24. Does not look like the tower from last year to me. That base it totally different. And the Supreme Teaser from today said something about a overlock mechanism instead of the ratchet handle. Looks and sounds better to me.
  25. Times have changed in engine development. Just look at the Mustang and how fast they are with much smaller Displacement. Technology is moving forward so the car companies can meet the US EPA Fuel Standards and boating is just getting the benefit of it.
