Do it. My 06 Elite surfed perfect with my FAE. Sent from my SPH-L710

How did I miss this thread? Actually, I do know how. I managed to run up over a 150 hours on my boat this summer with at least another month to go. We have worn it out. I can give some honest opinions on this subject if anyone wants to hear it. So far I am pretty happy with surfgate. I didn't surf much when I had my Centurion. I seem to surf more now that I have the option on the fly to surf or wakeboard. Surfgate seems to be a little weight sensitive, especially on portside. It likes to have a little extra weight to the surf side and it cleans up nicely. The push seems to be fine to me but I really need to surf some other boats to give an opinion. It isn't too difficult to recover from getting far back into the wave. The 2015 A22 seems to have copied the T22 hull design. It is less sensitive to weight on the portside unlike my 2014. I am pretty happy with my boat so far. I think the 2015s have definitely stepped up the quality of the interior. As far as the handling, I think most people got it right. It handles sluggish with 3000+ wieght in the boat. It puts out a sick wakeboard wake though. I will probably stick with Axis for a few more years.

I would soak them in some penetrate then try to break them loose.

It should be strong enough....just not a good idea. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

I rode an older hyperlite coex 4'4" today and felt like it ran good also. Not as good as the triple x but I was able to toss in the rope. I will be honest, I haven't tried the mucus yet behind my surfgate. I only tried it off of my elite v I had. I will give it a shot before I pull any triggers. Surfing is more fun than I expected. I still love to wakeboard though. There is a sweet 244 enzo on my lake that I am going to snag a pull from when I get a little better at surfing. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

I hate word of mouth. That is what made me spend $300 on a Mucus which I don't like. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Who has rode this board? Honestly I wakeboard more than I surf but I surfed this board the other day and it was awesome for my fat tush. I think it was the largest of the boards...aka 58". It has been the first time to toss the rope in and ride. My inland surfer mucus is tough for a beginner. Can anybody suggest a comparable board?

Do I have to have the same brand of boat as you?
-
Yep. It is my 2014 Axis A22. The water was definitely too cold for me. I got in about chest deep but not by choice. I lost a sandel on push off while leaving and had to retrieve it.

elbow exhaust tips help sound quieting?

I put one on my Elite when I had it. It definitely made the boat more quiet. Spending that much was tough to swallow untill I was able to have a conversation on the boat while pulling a rider without screaming. It was defiitely worth it in my opinion. -
You better snag that enzo up. Make sure they throw in some free gear and a surf board too. Do you ever go out to Prater flatts?
-
From a former elite v owner, look at the avy. The elite v was weight sensitive.

I think this thread needs to die and when resolution happens, mancho needs to tell us the outcome so we can learn from it. Not disclosing who the seller was though. If the seller wants to come on here and disclose his side after it is settled, then we will welcome the bs he has to say.
