  1. Ridgway State Park ~ Ridgway, CO. Right at the foot of the beautiful San Juan Mountains!
  2. Looking to upgrade

Hmmm... I would definitely be interested in that. Sounds costly though! I'll search around on here and see if I can find the thread - or just PM Packrat if I can't find it.

X2 on the noise. I'll admit, when I first bought it the loud rumble of the exhaust was pretty cool. It definitely gets attention. However, having to yell to even carry on a simple conversation gets old really quickly. Also, I have to crank the stereo insanely high to hear it at all while even surfing. Forget wakeboarding. Can't hear it at all then. The one positive though is not having exhaust in your face while surfing. Oh, and the room it takes up in the rear locker isn't bad - I still fill up an enzo sac with no problem.

If you decide to come out to CO and check it out, let me know if I can be of any help!
  5. Looking to upgrade

Sharp! I noticed that one too on ksl the other day. I have a black gelcoat and sideswipe and they are my two biggest regrets with my purchase. With that said, that is still a gorgeous boat and a pretty decent deal. (I think?) Definitely worth checking out if you are not worried about getting brand new.

There is a leftover 2011 Enzo 240 near me here in Grand Junction, CO at Mattas Marine... good guys at that dealership. I get my 07 Enzo serviced there. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2011-Centurion-Enzo-Sv240-100253568
  7. Sweet! We'll be up by Bullfrog, so I guess no chance of trying to meet up. I've never been down near Wahweap though, and would definitely like to check it out some year.
  8. If you go with an Inland Surfer, skip the Squirt and get a Mucous. You will be able to progress much further on it than a Squirt. It's worth the extra money.
  9. An 08 Enzo that cheap - make sure it starts! And floats!
  10. ...of how careful we need to be to keep horrible things like this from happening: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2012/08/20/girl-cut-by-propeller-after-falling-from-boat-on-georgia-lake/?test=latestnews Doesn't really say - but my first thought was the driver was probably power turning back into his own wake and the kid on the bow was probably not sitting down in the seat but either standing or sitting on the side of the boat. Just awful.
  11. Which way do you turn?

I usually turn to the loaded side. If for no other reason then it is just plain easier. Turning to the unloaded side feels like it takes forever to get turned around.
  12. How Lucky Am I ?!?!

I just bumped some rocks too - last weekend. We were at Rifle Gap here in Western Colorado and one of my friends had gone to get my truck and trailer so we could load up for the day. I was on the boat with my friend's wife and their two small children and was cleaning up/putting stuff away. It was breezy out though and I was slowly being blown closer to shore while waiting near the ramp. While putting stuff away I didn't realize just how close to shore we were getting. I looked up got panicked about being in such shallow water but with it being windy my first thought was don't leave the boat to push it out because it is only a girl (who has never driven the boat) and her two little kids in the boat. (1yr old and 2yr old) So if the wind gets the boat away from me, she isn't going to be able to drive the boat and keep hold of her kids. It looked deep enough (and read deep enough on the gauge) to engage the prop. So I put it in gear - just for a second to get it drifting in the right direction. Then did it a second a time and.. bam! Nailed a rock! It cut the engine and I knew I had no choice but to get in the water at that point. So I hopped in and hung on tight to the side of the boat so the wind wouldn't get it away from me. I pushed it back to deeper water and then jumped back in as fast as possible before being blown back into shallow water. It restarted no problem and went into gear no problem. I got it on the trailer and inspected the damage. Just a small nick and barely bent edge on one blade. No damage at all to the hull, drive shaft, or rudder thankfully. I relaunched and tested the boat at higher speeds and no shuddering other than at a high speed turn - and only a small shudder at that. So I think I am okay! I am going to run with the prop as is for the rest of the season and then get it machined down in the winter ( and probably buy a spare too! ) So yeah - major lesson learned - don't even try to put it in gear - even in less than ideal conditions for getting out of the boat. It was just one of those split second decisions where I guessed wrong. Could have been worse but thankfully it wasn't!
  13. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

Definitely like the orange! Although if I were doing an orange Centurion, I would go for this one... LOL
  14. So I was having trouble with my cable for the perfect pass not moving smoothly and it was causing the perfect pass to surge very badly, so I started messing around with it and figured that the cable was bending at too sharp of an angle over the front of the motor so it looked like I needed to get the cable higher. But how to do this without re-mounting the servo motor? Ah-ha! A wrench! lol The cable moves smoothly through the open end of the wrench (which is zip tied to the motor). I will probably re-mount the servo motor this winter to make a more permanent fix, but I figured this would get me by for the summer! What do you guys think? Pure genius (I am the last thing from mechanically inclined, so I was pretty proud of myself) or pure craziness? So far, it seems to be working well and the surging has been abated. Any thoughts on where to put the servo motor to make a more permanent fix? Thanks in advance for any input!
  15. Mine surged at a set speed. The cable was getting slightly caught on top of the engine cover and also coming down to the throttle at a bad angle. So it would over-rev the engine, blow past the set speed, and because the cable couldn't wind back in it would just keep going till it finally caught and then it would badly over correct and drop way below the set speed. There was never a fluid motion to the cable thus no fluid motion of speed correction. Go to the perfect pass website and follow all of their checks in the troubleshooting area, it is super helpful in pinpointing the problem.
  16. Hey Knuckle, I tried to PM you but it said you couldn't receive any more messages! PM me when you get it cleared out I guess
  17. Ahhh - the point police! I think if you are judging points that automatically removes you from the competition, does it not?? Where is the crew meet anyway? I am fairly new to this and would love to come to that some year! Obviously not this year b/c I will be at Powell!
  18. I use little bottled water immediately when taking it out at the lake, and then at least every 3rd or 4th trip (sometimes more often) I use Ducky water spot remover. Stuff works pretty awesome even on my black boat. It will get a full wax/buff in the fall before putting it away for the winter.
  19. I am sure O'Brien gets no more credit around here than CWB or Hyperlite when it comes to surfboards, so I don't know how you got a pass and I didn't?! lol
  20. Ha! You guys are hilarious! Well Dura is... Dark is just a jerk lol It's actually a CWB Ride (not any better - I know) And I knew as soon as I hit post that I would take crap for the board. I have an IS Mucous as well that I just got and have been getting better with so I need to get a pic on here with that too. As far as Powell... next planned trip is tentatively Sept 29 - Oct 2! Who's coming??
  21. A little slashin from Lake Powell. Just being at Powell is extra points, right??
  22. I have face planted so hard on a toe-side wakeboard crash that I flipped my eyelids back. Now that is a freaky feeling trying get those suckers to un-flip!
  23. My boat is always "unofficially" for sale if you want to take a look while you are in CO! I am about 2hrs from Breck.
  24. DrNate, on 19 June 2012 - 09:32 AM, said: Okay, this one is in Utah, but keep an open mind. You'd be surprised how reasonable shipping can be. I have used Uship.com before and people bid on what you want shipped/transported from point A to point B. I have been eyeing this one for awhile. However, the 600hrs kinda turned me off. My 07 Enzo only has 120hrs, so it's a tough sell for me, but I hate trying to keep black clean which is why that white looks so darn good to me! Someone should buy it though to take away the temptation from me.
  25. June Picture Thread

Enjoyed trying out my new IS Mucous. Big upgrade over the CWB I was learning on last summer!
